My GF and i went there last night and the first thing i noticed was how over priced it was; 10$ apiece for 2 small pizzas (only 4 slices). I figured for that price it had to be something special, and i was very wrong. I got pepperoni, green peppers and oinions on mine and it was mediocre at best (def not worth 10$) the ONLY reason i give 2 stars is because i could tell the ingredients were fresh and really good. However the crust was incredibly bland youd think for 10$ they could buy some spices or something to put in it. I used to work at a pizza shop and i make homemade pizza ALL the time and its not that hard or expensive to add something extra to the dough to give it more flavor. Now my GF got the Hawaiian and let me tell you, that thing was so disgusting i literally spat out the bite i tried. She ate maybe half a piece and then we ordered her a replacement pizza (the randy marsh) from gumbys. The shrimp (yes shrimp) they put on the pizza are so gross they have to be frozen and THEN canned; and they infect the whole pizza. The bite i took had no shrimp on it and all i could taste was fish. The pizza would be passable if they didnt put them on it. I can honestly say this pizza is WAY over priced and i would not recommend, maybe if they find a better supplier they can cut the price but until then we will not be returning. And if the owners read this PLEASE get rid of those shrimp, for the sake of...
Read moreI've tried pizza in New York, Chicago, Ohio, Florida, California, and Great Britain. Sunny's is the best overall. Here's why: in New York, the street pizza is all the same, it's become all commercial and there's nothing special about it. Might as well go buy a frozen pizza and pop it in oven and its the same thing. In Chicago, we were told it would be three hours for a Chicago deep dish, just crazy. Just got a hotdog instead. Ohio is pretty good, but rare. You have to go to Oogies Pizza near Lake Erie or OSU campus to find decent pizza, and good luck finding those places. Florida pizza is made with alligator feet, disgusting. California pizza has pinapple and grass in it, again disgusting. GB doesn't know anything about pizza. All GB knows how to cook are potatoes. I had a great time in GB, but came back starving.
Sunny's, you are the best. Quick, fast, hot, delicious pizza. One last comment: Hey, to you other so called pizza places in San Marcos, if you are listening, order a Sunny's pizza and learn how to put just the right amount of cheese and marinara sauce on your pizzas. Except for Sunny's, the other pizzas in San Marcos taste like the Sahara...
Read moreIf you’re in San Marcos and craving something absolutely mouthwatering, you have to check out Sunny’s Pizza and Wings. I recently tried their pizza bread, and oh my goodness it was scrumptious, cheesy, crunchy, and bursting with flavor! 😍
I asked them to load mine up with olives, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers, and they did not disappoint. The toppings were fresh, perfectly balanced, and so generous. To top it all off, I had them sprinkle some chili flakes and that extra kick made it even more irresistible. 🌶️🧀. Everything I’ve tried here has been full of flavor, fresh, and made with care.
💯 I highly recommend everyone to stop by Sunny’s Pizza and Wings (San Marcos) and treat yourself to their specialties. Trust me you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning...
