I ordered takeout from this spot last night on my way back home from work. I ordered a Parradilla for two, Family Quesabirria, Flan, Chimi Cheesecake and Three Aguas Frescas. When I got to the restaurant to pay and pick up the food, I noticed that there was an additional side of Quesabirria and I asked the staff member to take it off. After tip the bill was $100.53 and I wrote “Thank you” on the receipt as they were quite busy. I don’t know if I was missing a bag or if it was left out because of a misunderstanding but when I got home I realized I had not gotten any tortillas for the Parradilla platter and the Family Quesabirria order that I paid for was not in the bag. When I called back to ask about the food, the staff acted like they could not understand what I was saying, and then they told me to wait two minutes and subsequently hung up. The food my family did receive was good, so I leave this spot two stars however I can’t see my opinion of it changing without a refund or receiving the food that I paid for. I do not recommend getting takeout from this restaurant , try eating in the restaurant for a...
Read moreYea this place is really good. We've been several times and this is better than most in Sanford. I did, however, get that awful white "cheese sauce" on my food last time. I don't quite understand this stuff. Living in California for 50 years and even going to Mexico pretty regularly, I've never even heard of this disghusting white cheese "dip" that North Carolina Mexican restaurants put on EVERYTHING. I had to send the dish back and have the re-make it without the sauce. It's Elmer's glue - just don't. Other than that every meal has been stellar. The service is superb. The table-side quacamole is incredible. My favorite dish by far is the Arrachera Burrito. It too is amazing. Outside seating is nice in comfortable weather. The booths inside are clean and comfy. We noticed that they turned the music down a bit which is nice. And again, I can't say enough about the staff. They are attentive, professional, and super friendly. We're already planning...
Read moreLa Terrazita is our go-to place for the best Mexican food around. Although we've been making our way through the menu, you can't go wrong with the burritos and enchiladas. Start off with the fresh guacamole service, made at your table (only during certain hours of dinner) and then make sure you pair it with any number of fresh drinks. They usually have a daily special or you can get a variety of great margaritas and fresh fruit-based drinks. The chips and salsa are always great - they have a hot salsa available too which has a bit of a kick. The service is great - every single employee we've interacted with is super friendly and the managers always come over to check on things and to see how we are doing. Outdoor seating is available in the courtyard out front, or you can sit inside at booths or tables. There's also a bar and televisions if you need to watch TV while you eat. Music selection is fun and upbeat. Great place - we're there all...
