Del Taco — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

This place is a monumental disappointment. The speaker in the drive thru doesn’t work and cuts out every other word, the orders are constantly wrong, and the quality of food is embarrassingly poor. This franchise owner clearly doesn’t care and has completely checked out.

Been there three times in the past month. Not once was the food meeting the quality that I used to know from Del Taco. I went at a different time today, thinking that I may have caught the same cook a couple of times.

#1: The service: The teenage employees always seem irritated to be working. They’re short, flippant, and they’re not personable - at all. They also forgot 3 of our tacos, which we discovered when we got home, over 10 minutes away.

#2: The quality of the food: The tacos were all lukewarm and thrown together with barely any meat. The chicken in the Classic Chicken Burritos was cold and way over-salted, and there was little to no ‘secret sauce’ in the burritos or the chicken soft tacos. The fries were cold, stale, and clearly very old.

Tried calling multiple times and nobody answers the phone. The mailbox is full. This place is a dump. It’s worth driving a bit more to go to a different location - or just go a little ways down the road and get some Taco Bell. What a sad day it is to suggest Taco Bell over Del Taco, but...

Ordered on the app 2 boxes. We paid an additional $2.30 each box to up the drinks to large shakes. When we arrived and said here the worker said nothing at the window, but pull forward. We get to the window when he then tells us they don't have shakes. Why let us order them? Why not say it before starting the order when we arrived ? We asked for the upcharge back and he said that he could not do that since it was ordered on the app. We asked to cancel the order so we could go to another location and was told no. In the middle of asking what drinks we will get and how to get the money back we spent for the shakes (I know it's only $4.60) he just closed the window and walked off. Comes back and hands us our food with an option of what soda flavors. I think I might choose another location for now on, service at this location is terrible. I have tried calling and no one...

This Del Taco used to be the best in town when they first opened up, but now it has become terrible. I went through the drive-thru that took 20 mins with only two cars in line. When I got to the window, I found out they were understaffed at night and only had 3 people working. They overcooked the fries and forgot to give me my burrito. I tried to go inside to talk to someone, but they wouldn't allow me in (which is understandable being 10 pm), but they also wouldn't just go grab the burrito and hand it to me. They told me I had to go back in the drive-thru to get the burrito. When I went back to the line, more cars came, so I had to spend another 25 minutes in line. What an absolute waste of time! I feel bad for the workers because it's not their fault (other than missing the burrito in the bag). This is all about...
