MANAGER CUSSES AT CUSTOMERS!!! I am so beyond beside myself and frankly disgusted with LA cocinas service on plum and bouquet canyon(I have been coming to this restaurant since before I could talk with my parents and NEVER BEFORE had any issue with service or food) Last night my boyfriend and I went for happy hour. Ordered some margaritas and an appetizer plate. When it came time to pay the server came back with a few receipts saying that the payment was declined. Well one of the receipts looked like it had ACTUALLY GONE THROUGH, so we check my boyfriends bank and we had IN FACT been charged TWICE. So we showed the bank app with the charges to the server and asked for the manager. The manager came to the table (someone weâd never seen in the restaurant before). and was on his cell phone. He said he just got off the phone with the pos company and that there was an issue. (No one else at this time was having an issue) we tried to let him know there were currently 2 charges pending but he didnât seem to care. The server brought back some kind of slip with my boyfriends card information security code and expiration date written (by the server) on it with NO TOTAL AMOUNT OR DATE. When we tried to explain that we werenât comfortable with signing the paper or leaving the card number we were told we had to sign it and the other charges would go off tomorrow (today). We said that weâd feel more comfortable getting our phones from the car and calling our bank right now and trying to figure it out that way if they werenât going to give us another option. When we headed to our car to get the phones the server followed us out there. We then told him we would be calling our bank to discuss the charges and we WOULD NOT be leaving our card number for them to keep. The manger ran outside and told us we needed to sign the paper. We then explained again we would not be leaving the paper. The manager told the server to take a picture of our license plate. I said that was not necessary as they have already taken our money not once but twice and that we would be willing to stay on the property until we figured it out. The manager then began cussing at us in Spanish not realizing we both understand Spanish when I told him âexcuse me we speak Spanishâ he said â go F* yourselfâ.

   Read moreWe were unimpressed by this subpar Mexican restaurant. Itâs a cattle call kind of place. The quality is lacking. The chips and salsa were bland and flavorless. The margarita was the worst weâve ever had. Their bar tenders are lacking in this area. They water down their skinny margaritas with club soda. The club soda dominated the margarita. It was awful. We cold barely drink it. We should have sent it back. We gave this restaurant two tries, but we are done. I had the Chile relleno and it was decent. I also had the shrimp fajita dish and it was awful. It was flavorless and smothered with old flavorless onions. This is perhaps the worst dish I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant. My husband ordered the Chile verde. What a disastrous attempt at making chili verde. What he got was a pork in a pink sauce with peppers and onion. What a joke! Chile verde is a green sauce. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for serving this slop. The service was also terrible. Our waiters were always in a rush. They want to heard you in and out like cattle. There is zero ambiance. The restaurant is old and outdated. Weâve been to both the Seco Canyon and Bouquet Canyon Rd locations. Both a flop in our opinion. Same experience at both restaurants.    Read moreThey don't treat their senior citizen customers very good - very bad experience this afternoon. My son and myself, (me 66), walk in at 5:20 this afternoon from 100 degree heat to have a quick early dinner. A guy starts to seat us at the only table, a table for 4. Then girl at the front register calls him back, and myself, and says it will be 15-20 before we have a seat for you. But you could sit in the patio, (100 degrees outside, and the only persons she sent out there). Nobody else had walked in the restaurant when we did, no larger groups, and they would not seat us at the open table inside, but rather save it in case a larger group comes in. Well we sat outside in the 100 degree heat with not much help from their ceiling fan. But that left a bad taste in our mouths. So as I am telling other friends this story after we left, their all saying we need to try Patron's. They have ample seating in a cool restaurant, good food, and a few servers left La Cocina to work there. Not brain science here to realize I cannot return to a place that just treated me like the Valencia La Cocina did, I'm done with them.
