We’ve been coming to Su Sushi (or Sushi De Nido) and always leave happy, full and impressed. The picture is of the Uni, from Santa Barbara, very good and fresh; packed with omega-3’s but unfortunately like most sushi subject to availability! Everything is real fish, yes even that crab in the rainbow roll or others. We have also had just about everything on the list, if you’re open to the best cuts and chefs choice go with the Omakase. If you’re more particular, choose the yellowfin, Scottish salmon, Unagi (my consistent favorite) or others. You will be satisfied, and I bet like me you will keep coming back!!

I adore this new addition to the Asian food scene in the Santa Fe area. We came out for our anniversary and sat at the sushi bar so we could chat with the chefs and watch them work magic. The seared swordfish nigiri was incredible and the omakase menu from that point on just got better. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant for your next date night or special occasion ❤️

We had a great dinner at the sushi bar and the food and service could not have been better. We had a nice bottle of sake and order a variety of dishes. Loved the tempura green chile stuffed with shrimp, the mixed fish tartare and the nigiri and rolls were great. They had otoro which is an all time favorite. Highly recommend and next time we’ll try the Omakase.

We dined there day after Christmas had Omakase. Dishes were creative and nicely presented. As we are Japanese we can be bit critical. First when we arrived we were little disappointed to see chopsticks are like Chinese Chopsticks. Japanese uses shorter and pointed chopsticks which make easier to eat foods. Misoshiru(miso soup) was served in small salad bowl and wish they were served in real Japanese miso soup bowl called Owan. Ordered tea and my husband ordered Sencha but end up getting Hojicha. He questioned server and he said they are out of Sencha. Should have offered different tea before actually wrong tea… Some costumer may not recognize but we know our tea. Over all it was nice experience but dishes were bit off to called Japanese. We will like to try Nigiri Sushi next time to see they will serve with right sushi rice which we have not found correct rice in New Mexico sushi restaurant. We usually travel to Colorado to eat sushi where closed from New Mexico to obtain real Sushi. But we did have nice dinner for our...

Pretty disappointing experience. Made a 530 reservation for a birthday dinner before the opera at 830. Figured that would be enough time for a 3 course omikase but almost two hours in and no third course. Painfully long times between courses. Waitress apologized and we took that opportunity to let her know we had a later engagement. Without giving us an option she brought out their green chili tempura appetizer as the third course substitute. Ordering omikase I expected sushi and something a bit more exciting. I’ve done 9 and 12 course omikase in 2 hrs so 3 courses really shouldn’t turn into a three hour dinner but we were told the chef didn’t have his “special” course prepared yet. Maybe they need to have set seating times for their omikase like other spots. If we had known we would have opted for rolls or set nigiri instead. Would have ended up with more actual sushi for the price. For a $300 meal expected better organization and I don’t know just something more memorable. Kind of took the shine of...

This was disappointing and I felt like I put money down the drain which is a bummer. I’ve eaten a lot of legit Japanese food, and this is comparable to typical strip mall fare at premium prices.

First of all they offer gyoza which I think are frozen dumplings with store bought sugar chili sauce marked up 1000%. This is embarrassing compared to actual gyoza which would cost much less.

The sushi is just not up to standard for how much they’re charging. If you’ve had legit sushi, stay away from this place.

Example: I was crestfallen when I got the pinnacle of what bad sushi is- a tin foil wrapped piece of supermarket Atlantic salmon baked on overcooked rice with a sugary sauce. Apparently nobody knows this would be an abomination in any respectable place.

The vegetarian options were better than the standard fare, but they don’t particularly align with a sushi restaurant. I think our server disappeared a few times and might’ve gotten into a dispute with the chef which...
