Thai Elephant Authentic Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach

For the last 5 years, this is my Favorite Thai Restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach. I’m been in this restaurant multiple occasions. Just meeting clients, craving for Thai food, invite friends over, co-worker’s and sometimes, get out of the office for a little bit. Just order ahead of time before I ate lunch for a quick break in frontI’d the computer or dinner here at Thai Elephant. Today, I called, placed an order for dine in, they keep telling me 15 minutes for To Order. I told them that want to eat in the restaurant for dine in. A Thai guy was taking my order seems he cannot what my order. I want it Thai Spicy number 5. He asked if I’m sure about it. Then a Lady continue taking my order. She said that I cannot order a food for dine is because it will be cold by the time I got there. Our office is 3 minutes away from the restaurant, as I clarify with her. She refused to take my order so I hang up. Since I’m really craving for Thai food today, she came up in the table I’d I was the one who order in the phone. I told her yes, I’d been coming here as a repeat guest and no one refused to take my order for dine in. It was 2:27pm, I know they close at 3:00pm so at 2:45pm to 2:50 pm is there last order. She do not want to take my order for dine in order anymore. Tjwy he go to my table when I arrive, asked if I was the one who order. And I said, yes. You not want to take my order die dine in. She mentioned that we want it to be warm and hot for the customer. But she didn’t listen that I was 3 to 4 minutes away. She had her attitude and yes that it’s the policy. I told he that I’m been coming here so often that they serve with gratitude, good customer service and with te Smile in their face. Love the old staff, I miss them and makes me happy,, every time I came in this restaurant. I suggest do not a server or cook that do nor have a passion of Good Food, Customer service. I’m Asian and I always support any Asian restaurants in the area. I will never ever come back in Thai Elephant again. now with my clients, my friends ever again. Poor Customer Services and she did not even apologized. Especially notes; Update your current Menus, Prices on your website. Your Menus is not updated on your Website Facebook page. Your portion of the food from Round Plates to Rectangle Plates and now you are serving on the Bowl. Your food wen down the hills. Wish we get our Original Thai staff and cook, they are Best, most accommodating, friendliness and kind. Who ever your lady server even she speaks English. She has no customer service experience. No matter what county she is from. Be kind and nice to all your your customers … that all it takes! I will never, ever recommend this ever again Today’s experience is a 1 Star. The service at this restaurant was so poor during our recent visit that it has left us deeply disappointed and questioning whether we will return in the future, despite being regular customers. I mean service has never been perfect but at least I was respectful however we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. When we arrived the place was empty, they said sit where you want so we chose a larger table, which seemed to upset the server. He assumed we all wanted water without giving us a chance to order anything else, even though two of us wanted lemonade.

When my husband's dish arrived, it was completely wrong - he had ordered drunken noodles with fried tofu, but received chicken instead. When he asked for the tofu, it came back covered in an excessive amount of pepper flakes, making it inedible. Despite the mistake, he didn't want to send it back for the second time due to time constraints.

To make matters worse, the dish was so spicy that he ran out of water quickly. The server didn't come back to refill our drinks, so I had to give him mine. When I asked for more water, the server returned and slammed it on the table, causing it to spill everywhere. To top it all off, he included his gratuity on the bill for the horrible service we received.

Our recent experience at this restaurant was a complete letdown. The food was not up to par as other times , and the service was so poor that it has left us deeply disappointed and reconsidering whether we will be returning...

DECEIVING AND DISAPPOINTING! I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant since 2018 and that ends today!!! I got my takeout order home and started thinking about why did I pay so much and why was the Pad Prik container half full! In my research, this is what I found. First of all, when I left the restaurant with my carryout order, they did not include my sales slipped of what I ordered And the individual cost of everything. My carryout order was from lunch time and I was charged dinner prices And they added a $10 service fee. Previous order when I questioned their additional fee, they said because I ordered online through doordash. They told me next time to call in my order which I did this time and they still charged me the fee charge. In addition, they did not charge me the prices from the online menu. They charged me the prices from the delivery menu. Which is a dollar plus to almost $3 extra per item. For lunch time carryout my bill was $22 extra with all these extra charges! When I called the restaurant and spoke to the Manager, he tried to make up all kinds of excuses! After much discussion, he finally removed the delivery fee charge & tip. He still charged me as if it was delivery, because honestly I was tired of debating with him. And reminding him that it's only right, He should be informing people of all these charges before he takes orders. I don't know what happened to this restaurant. I'm thinking it's under new ownership or management or maybe both but I'm going to find another Thai...
