The Caf — Restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach

Love the food, but did NOT love the service today! The server (blonde hair, spoke Spanish very, but was short with the customers) She was was also curt and borderline rude, and it was not that busy at that time. She didn’t offer a roll or cornbread, and added so much liquid with my corn, that it spilled all over my clothes, as I was getting into the car! And boy, was it HOT! I don’t understand why she didn’t take time to ladle it out, especially when it is being served in a tiny space in a styrofoam plate that doesn’t close completely. She also dug around a huge heap of chicken and selected the two scrawniest pieces for me. It seemed intentional, given the poor quality of service she was giving. She even walked away while I was using my card to pay. She did not say thank you or have a nice day. I am sure I will return, because the food is always worth coming back for. And maybe she was just having a bad day. I look forward to being able to dine in again. It’s a small space, but it would be nice to be able to eat there. Place is filthy. Construction worker food truck basically. Tables apparently never get wiped. Mistakenly went ahead and ordered. When paying I didn't leave a tip because I was not sure I could stomach eating there. The old lady with straw blonde hair and too much cosmetic surgery, sarcastically says "thanks for the tip". I replied "buy a mop first". I had to eat in my car it was to gross inside. While sitting in parking lot a old honda pulls up and a guy in shorts, dirty t-shirt and flip flops grabs some uncovered pans of food and takes them in the back door. I immediately threw my food away and went to Hardee's next door. So if you're looking for a down and dirty experience when you eat, this is your place. Terrible! Looks absolutely nothing like the pics posted! Only had fries, gumbo, chicken and green beans and balnd white rice, rolls tastes frozen...chicken tastes like eggs! Tables were dusty and fans hand dust hanging off them, tables and chairs wereturned upside down so no where to sit except one table which was covered in old food. Hot sauces we're out and broken. All sides can be seen being microwaved from same bowl over and over! Bathroom was worse than a truck stop! Awful awful awful...not even 1 star worthy..only gave it 1 star so it would...
