I don't know what caftycoder is talking about expensive, go to the place in RR square, that's expensive. If you live off of MC D's, it is pricie, but it tastes better by a world. I have had some tom ca guy that was outstanding, ordered a second serving and it wasn't as good, but it was near the end of the night (it has to sit and meld the flavors). The gentleman that runs the front knows us just from comming in there and remembers what we will get for starters, even if it has been over a month. The decore isn't spectacular, but Thai House downtown can feel cramped and you have to climb up a flight of stairs. Recently we ordered some 'to go'. It must have been served from a batch that was still in process. It was soundly rejected by those partaking.
Called the restaurant and they were sincerely helpful and apologetic. A few days later, called again for a 'to go' order and there was no fuss about our curry being "on the house".
We did not have to ask to be allowed to taste it. The sweet, elder mother brought it right to us with a spoon and an invitation to confirm it was what we wanted.
