I have been going to village bakery since I was a child, I have seen them go from a local sebastapool bakery to a gentrified chain in live time as they continue to cater to the richer implant community in Sonoma county. They have gotten rid of some of their best pastries that their current staff seem to not even know exist despite promises that they would come back after covid. Now their bread. Again, I have been eating this bread for literal decades and have never had as many problems as I have this year. Despite being some of the best bread around their quality control has slipped massively over the last few months. The most recent loaf I got was all hole! No bread just hole.
