I have been going to village bakery since I was a child, I have seen them go from a local sebastapool bakery to a gentrified chain in live time as they continue to cater to the richer implant community in Sonoma county. They have gotten rid of some of their best pastries that their current staff seem to not even know exist despite promises that they would come back after covid. Now their bread. Again, I have been eating this bread for literal decades and have never had as many problems as I have this year. Despite being some of the best bread around their quality control has slipped massively over the last few months. The most recent loaf I got was all hole! No bread just hole. I get mistakes happen but for nearly 9 dollars a loaf maybe teach people how to knead sourdough? Overall I love this place but its a shell of what it once was and I tear up a bit when I remember their cherry and blueberry cream cheese danish I will never get to eat again.

Absolutely the best cinnamon raisin danish I have had in year. I have Been baking for 24 years. Danish was made from scratch, and prepared perfectly. Staff is wonderful, pleasant, polite, and welcoming. Bakery is about 10 minutes off of 101. Granted they have staffing issue and sometimes close at 1 pm. However if you need a great cup of coffee with a fresh European style danish, it will be worth the ten minute drive.

Our daughter who lives out of state ordered a cake for me to pick up. First there is nice parking right in front, outside cute tables to sit at, inside cute tables. People having coffee and baked items. They sell huge loaves of bread along with many baked cakes and fancy desserts. Great place. The cake was lemon with many layers and wonderful. It made our families special day more special.

Hello , Hats off to you for your continued service through this difficult period .I am very pleased that you are transitioning to a DIVERSE area . I wanted to point out that for me it is a big advantage to be able to avoid traffic from from my home in Sebastopol to old location in Santa Rosa . I am very happy that the new location is off The Joe Rodota bike path . Lets think more progressively .I hope your business helps to expand the economy . Im sure If you are used to the other location it may take some getting used to in terms of neighboring shops but there is plenty of parking and room .I plan to take advantage of the outdoor seating .. Im obviously happy about the convenient location as well as the quality of your delicious gluten free breads and pastries ...

I have loved Village bakery thru their various locations and thru the years. the coffee is always good and consistent, i have actual dreams about their hand pies (both veggie and the meat) becausethey are so delicious, its a spiritual experience to eat their cardamom rolls, and on top of that all their goods are beautiful too. the absolute only reason I'm giving 1 less star is because the hours are inconsistent. i know this is an often common thing for bakeries, but I've made the trip numerous times only to see they have closed early. no complaints exactly, I'm just recommending that you might want to call ahead if it's a trip out of your way or if you are within an hour of closing time. support local business! **edit: They stopped making the...
