We were looking for a new sushi restaurant and came across this new one in LWR. Its in a brand new shopping center next to Dominos . Its got a solid 4.9 rating . Im not ready to give it a 5.0 based on the first setting.
I will say the decor and service is great. A wide variety of sushi and menu items. I guess according to a review, there is a lunch special? Didnt see or hear anything about that. Sometimes you can save a $1 or two buying a lunch combo . Some restaurant's suggest it when they see you ordering soup, appetizer like a spring roll etc.
The servers were all very friendly and attentive to us, clearing our tables , refilling our water. I cant quite give it a 5 star because , im not a fan of luke warm sushi, rice, veggies and the meats were all room temperature. I feel its the same as getting a burger with lettuce and tomato, pickles etc. The toppings should be cold and crisp and the burger meat hot. Got the house roll, rock n roll and salmon katsu roll. Good flavor ,
All and all a really good visit id give a 4.5 . I know its not a Thai restaurant but alot a sushi restaurants serve Thai Tea. What a plus that would be. We will be back and ask next time about a lunch combo special. This is a nice added touch to LWR area...
Read moreMy family stumbled upon this fantastic little restaurant by chance, and we've already dined here twice. Plenty of parking, they are in a shopping area.
Every dish we've tried has been outstanding. So far, we've had the pan-fried Gyoza, clear miso soup, green salad (definitely ask for the ginger dressing on the side), rainbow roll, California roll, Lobster roll, avocado roll, chicken hibachi & steak hibachi (the teriyaki sauce is perfectly balanced—not too salty or sweet), and Red Snapper teriyaki. I highly recommend the Red Snapper teriyaki—it's absolutely delicious, with two fillets served over vegetables and steamed rice.
They use California sushi rice, and the fried rice served with the hibachi is simple yet flavorful. I love that it's not overly salty or sweet (though you can add salt or soy sauce if you prefer).
The service was excellent as well. Our waitress was running around, taking care of multiple tables, but she was efficient and made sure we never had to wait. She also remembered what we like to order from our 1st visit. Despite only seeing four staff members during dinner, they all worked hard and kept things running smoothly.
We’ll definitely be back for a...
Read moreHave been coming to U YEE sushi shortly after they opened at this location. So much that our regular waitress would recognize us and had our order memorized. Food and service used to be great, used to come every other week. We would drive 50 minutes, 41 miles from our home to this restaurant. However recently portion sizes have nearly dropped in half, the sushi is cut so small and has barely any rice to keep the rolls together, so that every piece of sushi falls apart the last two times we’ve came. Figured we’ve give it another shot, thinking maybe the last time was just a bad night. Again, sushi was so thin it l could not be eaten with chopsticks, a fork, or be pickup with fingers without falling apart (see in photo). My water even tasted like a fish tank smells 🤮. They would not take the sushi off of our bill and would not remake without charging us. Over $70 not including tip for one entree, a lemonade, and 3 sushi rolls, that we couldn’t even eat. Very disappointed in what has happened to the quality of food and service here. Unfortunately, going to have to find a...
