BIKERS BEWARE!! My husband and I rode our harley to the restaurant and were wearing jeans and sweatshirts. We walked in the door and stood at the sign. The entrance is cramped. There were only 2 of us and I had to walk out past the sign to allow others to walk out the door. After several staff walked by us without a greeting a waitress approached us and rudely stated "We are serving lunch now," I said ok.( It was a few minutes before 1 pm.) She took us to the 2nd table from the door. It was squeezed in near the other table and wall. There were several other empty tables all around the restaurant. We sat and looked at the menu. And we sat. And we sat. No one ever approached us. No one brought or offered water or anything to drink. It looked like there were almost half a dozen waitresses zipping by our table but no one stopped. Another couple were seated after us and waited on promptly. After 15 minutes we got up to leave. Their food might be amazing but I really don't see any sandwich tasting good enough to cost $14+ or the extra $2 french fries. Glad we got out of there and found a restaurant who knows how to greet and wait on staff at lower prices with great food and atmosphere. If you are going to be rude and conceited maybe you should update your restaurant so it doesn't look like I am eating in my grandmas basement. Don't bother to sit in the sunroom area and look out the windows -the windows are completely white due to age and poor maintenance. Don't waste your...

terrible service staff for breakfast! we brought in my mom and aunt from overseas along with my newborn who just turn two months old to celebrate my first mother's day. it was a busy sunday morning so we had the utmost patience for the slow service, and mediocre coffee however, waiting for over an hour with only coffee and orange juice on our table and our stomachs empty, one of us finally stood up and went over to the see whats going on. he was told the machine broke down so the food is not coming out for anyone but i noticed the tables that came long after us were getting food on their table.

well, we finally had it and told the waitress that we were leaving.

not only she was not apologetic for lying to us about the machine being broken down and then we later found out our orders just got in 10 minutes before we made the second trip to see what's going on but she also immediately turned around and cancelled the orders to the kitchen staffs the second we told her we were leaving.

i never tried their food ( coffee was mediocre as i have mentioned and i cannot commend on orange juice since i was not the one ordering it ) but for the service and the waitress of this kind, i do not think i would be coming back...

I love trying new places! The minute I walked in the door it reminded me of my own ā€œCheersā€ bar that I worked at and I was thrilled to try their Sunday Brunch.

The serving staff was running, and I mean running. One or two more servers could have accommodated the flex of customers walking in the door. It took about 5 servers walking by me with my own saying 3 times I’ll be right with you before she finally took our drink orders.

I’m now going to be late for an appointment.

The food was timed about right for this kind of establishment so the delay had nothing to do with the kitchen staff. This was definitely a front of the house issue.

I could hear the girls complaining in the drink station from where I sat.

The breakfast was definitely filling!

I was disappointed with the French toast special. It was a diabetics death with too much sugar and the strawberries were frozen, not fresh! It’s strawberry season in Michigan, why are you using frozen berries?

Why wasn’t the entire serving of my son’s meal brought out at once? I can carry 4 plates, 5 at best in a hand carry! Does your staff need to learn how...

Frist time here! Not from around these parts but pass through a handful of times on a way to Cranes' to get a pie but, today we had more time. Friendly, cozy, and deep woody environment plan chairs and tables but don't let that bother you because the food is good. The parking lot is full. It's Friday night and the special is all you can eat fish fry, for a good price. You get 6 good size pieces of fish lightly batter, coleslaw, 2 hush puppies, and fries. When you order more fish 3 more pieces come out. For dessert they are known for their coconut cake but I had their Chocolate lava cake with 3 scoops of ice cream is a dessert to share and no too sweet, just right. I wish the waitress was a little more attentive but it was busy and I could she was looking over at us as she passed but, I preferred her noticed my drink was empty and either bring me more or ask if I wanted more.

This restaurant may be a bit off the beaten path and may not look like much from the outside, but it was one of the best places I have visited in a while. The service was very good and the food was wonderful. Exposed log beams and a somewhat dark main dining room make thus feel like a place you might find in the far northern parts of Michigan. However, there is an additional room built from glass reminiscent of a greenhouse, which is very cozy and unique. The burger was one of the better ones I have had recently. The meat was good quality and the bun was fluffy and toasted. The fries were also very good! If you are in the area and are looking for some good quality food without the frills, this is an excellent choice and worth traveling a bit out of the way to visit.
