Jewel's Dance Hall — Restaurant in Saybrook

I'm very disappointed in the way jewel's dance hall is being ran into the ground, ever who owns it now doesn't know how operate a business, I've stop by last two nights Friday night was totally dead, Saturday wasn't much better, what happened to the service use to have there, where waiters came to your table take your order for food and drinks, air conditioning doesn't work can't enjoy going out on dance floor, just sitting there I was sweating, to much light, lit up like it was Christmas, three dollar beers, band some what descent except they didn't play any slow dance songs or that much line dance songs and in between sessions on stage no music wouldn't be played every time band stop I thought it was closing time, I read someone review stating new dance floor looked like the same floor from twelve years ago when I use to...

It was my first time going to a bar. I recently turned 21 a little bit ago and the singing was great. Selleena band was there and she was beautiful and amazing along with her co singer being great but the other workers were so mean. When I first got in I wasn’t holding my ID because I’ve been having difficulty holding things because of some health issues and the man there gives me attitude and says “you should’ve had it ready for me. I mean you are coming into a bar” and I just ignored it and then I’m the driver so I ask if they have any non alcoholic drinks and then again they give me attitude and says “you know you’re at a bar right like?” And I don’t know why they have to be so rude to people but it kind of upset me considering I drove over an hour to go...

I absolutely love this little bar! I've been dancing here for 2.5 years and it never gets old! The owners, Kyle and Melissa, are absolutely wonderful and care greatly about their customers! Desiree, Celest, Caroline, and Dan are all fantastic behind the bar, and the food there is delicious!! A rocking security teams keeps the riffraff to a minimum! And there's always something fun going on! Wednesday lessons with Dee, Thursday wings and karaoke, fun bands, dancing DJs, and fun party nights! 10/10...
