March 23, 2025. We were driving home from southern California to Tulsa. A very long drive! We were starving. We decided to pull off of the highway and run into Denny's. Can't really ever go wrong with Denny's. Well, let me tell you, we will probably never go to another Denny's again because of this experience. It took almost 25 minutes just to be seated and there was literally only one other person in front of us waiting and no, it wasn't busy. Empty tables everywhere. We should have left then, that should have been our clue. Then we finally get seated. It took almost another 25 minutes for someone to take our order. Mind you, two other couples got up and left while we were waiting for that same reason. Finally a server names Ryleigh finally came to the table to take our order. She obviously did not want to be there. Another long wait and we hear another server go to another table and we hear, "oh, wait, this isn't your food....hold on". (That was our food that was delivered to the wrong table, sat down in front of other people, and then picked back up and taken back to the kitchen). A few minutes later that same food that has been all over the restaurant arrives. Everything was cold and none of it tasted good. Oh, also...who doesn't put ice in Lemonade. Denny's, that's who. I mean it's called Ice Cold Lemonade for a reason right? There was just so much wrong here. So, then we don't eat much and put all of your dishes towards the end of the table to let them know we are done and that we need the check. At this point my husband and son are so annoyed that they just walk out and tell me they will be waiting for me outside. I wait for about 15 minutes to get the bill, and nothing. I finally just get up and walk to the register up front. Finally, our server, Ryleigh comes to the register and says, can i help you. I said, "Yeah, we are done and were waiting for the check, but it never came". She said, "Oh, who was your server", I said, "Uhm, you....". She said, "Oh". Then just gave me total without even showing me a bill or anything. I said, "Can I at least see the bill first?" I got a little sigh and then she handed me over the bill. I wasn't going to pay just some random number that she threw out without seeing if that was our actual bill or not. I paid with my card and then she just stood there. She said, "Ok, you're done". I said, "Can I have a receipt please?". Another sigh, and then she handed over the receipt. There was another woman waiting at the podium to be seated and I asked her how long she had been waiting and she said 15 minutes so I told her my experience and she grabbed her husband and said "Nope, we are leaving and finding something else" This was the absolute worst experience at a Denny's anywhere. I would never recommend this location to anyone. I don't know what they need to do to fix it, but they need to do something. This location needs a complete overhaul and that includes training all of the employees in customer service. The employees obviously don't want to work there. If they don't want to be there, let them go and hire some people that actually want to work and want to earn tips. Hopefully management reads all of these reviews and really tries to correct the situation that they...
Read moreMe and my fiancé stopped in to eat here for nostalgic reasons. But it was not a good experience this time around.
We were waited on by Erin P.
Walking into the place, it was a ghost town, kind of unusual for this once booming restaurant but we ate there anyway. We get sat down after walking past empty booths cluttered with dirty dishes and food everywhere. I ordered my usual crazy spicy skillet, and my fiancé ordered herself pancakes. Meanwhile I believe the manager, was sitting up at the bar, staring at us the entire time. Waited almost 45 minutes and our drinks were gone to no one’s surprise. Food finally arrived and Erin and one other sets our food down. Erin turns to my fiancé and blurts out “you want sugar free syrup right?” In a very snarky/mocking tone, very very rude. That right there almost made me want to walk out. I ask for refills and she brings just my fiancé a refill, guess I didn’t need one.
My food was barely made with any spices, and was not what I remembered a year ago. We barely manage to finish our food, then Erin appears out of nowhere from being gone the entire time. Erin finally brings me another drink when we were already done, waves around the check and says, “here’s your check, idk if you want it but I got it just in case.” Like ok? That’s normally how sit down restaurants work, you eat and then pay afterwards.
We get up after having terrible service, and walk up to the front to pay, right past the same booths with the dirty dishes untouched for nearly 1.5hrs. Not sure what happened to this place, or if the owner Jim is aware of what is happening. But it’s not the same place i remembered. I can guarantee that me, and my family won’t step foot back in here after this experience.
And for Erin, I’m usually a great tipper, $20+ easy for just 2 people. If you would’ve left your fat jokes at home and actually waited on us when you clearly weren’t busy, I would’ve gave you a better tip. Not sure what was so important outside the restaurant but you were out there almost the...
Read moreFirst off I want the state that Colten our server was FANTASTIC! AND it went downhill from there. Husband wanted brisket melt and I wanted brisket mac and cheese melt. From the back I am assuming the cook yells out to a guy sitting at the counter watching the football game she meeds more brisket. The guy at the counter says they are out. SO the waiter comes back and gives use is again. My husband orders the bourbon burger and I order the t-bone with eggs and corn tortillas. Colton takes our order to the kitchen to which tue cook yells out, Do they want the brisket sandwich AND THE T-BONE BECAUSE I HAVE THE BRISKET SANDWICH READY. So Colton again comes to the table and asks my husband if he wants the brisket sandwich now to eat or bring with my order. He said no just bring it so he can eat it hot. My husband lifts the bread off the sandwich and it is roast beef NOT brisket sans the 2 eggs and bacon it was supposed to come with. My plate comes out ok but Colton again has to come out and tell me there are no corn tortillas just flour but I have celiac and can't do flour. But then I go to eat my hash browns and there is a round rubber ring in my hash browns. So we talk to the manager. She yakes the meal OFF our ticket. And we leave owing for our coke and giving Colton a 20.00 tip. WORST DENNY'S EXPERIENCE EVER! MAYBE THEY SHOULD BE MORE CONCERNED WITH THEIR FOOD PREP THAN WATCHING THE FOOTBALL GAME AND GOING...
