Pilipino Grill — Restaurant in Sayreville

This is a family run little counter service place with laminate tables to eat at, very casual.

Very friendly people, I had no clue what i was going to eat as this was my first try with Filipino food. They were happy to provide me samples and I piled up the order as I went along. The menu has tagalog naming without descriptions so I have no idea what the names of the dishes were, but i really didn't care.

Food was really good. Sampled a few stewed type dishes served with rice. A pork with blood, goat, beef were all good. The tripe was even good and I'm not really a fan. Also had a noodle dish.

Pricing is very inexpensive.

Recommended for adventurous...

Edit: the food is great still BUT most times you are told they dont have anything left and the last 4 times we tried to order were told the had none.. (Random days /times too.). They no longer make too order from what the woman said. Its a shame!!

We get the pork & chicken skewers pretty often, and they are always delicious. They are always cooked perfectly and we'll seasoned, the flavor is seriously the best I've had. If you're looking for a nice place to sit and eat, I wouldn't recommend it But for takeout, it's perfect. When you order they do take a long time to cook BUT it's worth it...

I wouldn't eat in the restaurant itself. But we do takeouts almost every week. The food is really really nice. Always fresh and truly home-made. In the beginning the lady seemed a bit mean but later we got to know each other better and she is actually super-nice. By 3pm food is usually almost gone. Around 12 is the best time to come.
