TJ's Pizzeria & Catering — Restaurant in Sayreville

Immediately greeted as soon as you walk in the door by a couple of happy employees. Placing the order is convenient and quick. The wait time was about average you don't want to rush the cooking of a pizza. Watched it as it came out of the oven nice and steamy and placed into the box. It was walked over and placed in front of me by a smiling employee again this stands out in my mind as many places just don't have that smile anymore. I was careful to make sure that I did not tilt the box in order to allow the cheese to settle in its proper place I drove back home which was a 12-minute drive and then to my surprise as I opened the box a little puff of steam rose from the cheese. Took my slice put it on my plate folded it in half and what a delight. The immediate taste was so unique a little bit of crunch but what an absolute wonderful flavor what I had ordered was a TJ's tavern pie. The other people that were sharing this pie with me all commented where is this from with a smile on their face. TJ's tavern pie on the corner of cheesequake road and bordentown avenue in sayreville. I believe they have been in this location for a little time now I am disappointed in myself to just find it now. For starters the employees are wonderful! Every single time I’ve called or was a walk-in customer they are ALL very pleasant! You don’t see that often in a busy establishment. When I order pizza, TJs is my go to. I love their pies. This review is abt some catering they did for me. I ordered two 3 foot subs..Italian and chicken. The subs were substantial and delicious! No skimping out on meats/fillings. I also ordered a delicious full tray of chicken francese which was excellent and six assorted pizza rolls that I cut up to put out for appetizers. Spinach is my favorite but got lots of compliments on the buffalo rolls. I requested a specific delivery time and they were on time/prompt. Ordered online throughout slice app, Caesar salad came half of the lettuce is brown and going bad and I cut my chicken sandwich and there was a huge long black hair and I have short red hair. I complain through the app and the restaurant said that they don’t have someone that works there that fits that description so they’re gonna do nothing for me ! that now I don’t think my food is sanitary and it will not be eating any of the food. It is all going in the garbage $30 down the drain. Definitely unhappy with this restaurant! I am housesitting do not know places in the area I was recommended this restaurant!
