New Scandia Cafe — Restaurant in Scandia

I had been told by my family that this cafe had delicious food, so i’d been dying to try it. I went with my mom yesterday and we were told to sit wherever. it took 10 minutes just to be brought a menu. at that point i had already pulled one up online, assuming i wouldn’t be offered one. we were there 20 minutes with no waters, no orders being taken, and no one even looking our way. needless to say, we walked out and went elsewhere. these 2 young ladies behind us had been there even longer than us and also didn’t have waters or any drinks or food by the time we decided to leave....

We’ve been going there 5-6 times a month and up till today it’s always been very good. Today we waited at a table 20 minutes to get a menu, another 10 to get waited on. A customer I’m assuming brought us water! After ordering, food took another 40 minutes… One waitress, one cook and the place was full of waiting customers. Our order was completely wrong and cold. There are no excuses for this. If you own a restaurant, take care of...

The food was excellent. Portion size was good. On this particular day there was only one server and she was overwhelmed. Service was slow but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine. We were surprised that they charged for refills($4) on ice tea and there was a fair amount of ice in the glass. Definitely not worth the $8. Haven't had that happen in recent experience.
