We went to Anjon's for dinner on a Friday night around 5:30 pm the restaurant opened at 5. When we checked in. We were told it would be a 35 minute wait, which was fine with us until a party of 3 walked by us heading into the restaurant and asked if there is a long wait. We told them a half hour wait. But even though there was 3 other parties waiting they were seated right away. When we were finally seated, we were put in the lounge without asking if we minded being there. My husband went and looked and saw there were empty tables in the main dining room. So he complained and we were told they would make it good with us and give us a nice table in the other room. We ended up at a small table that wobbled up against the wall, all while there was other tables that were in a better location. Then the service was terrible, you would think for $30 a plate there would be a salad or soup included, but there isn't. Then when we finally got some bread it was cold like it had been in the fridge and the butter was frozen, so to be able to butter the bread you had to hold the butter in your hand to soften it enough to spread it. When we said something to the waitress she was going to just take the bread away. My husband asked why it wasn't warmed and she said because they don't have the capability of doing it, but she could put it in the microwave if we wanted🙄😏 we will never go...
Read moreVery limited menu, over priced food, and food quality is for sure not up to par with what you're paying for.
Ordered a garden salad, looks like it had been sitting around for a week, brown iceberg lettuce, some pre-shredded carrots that had black spots on them, and a couple of old cherry tomatoes for $10..
Being a vegetarian, I ordered a bowl of over cooked ziti noodles with some red sauce, which was $27.. CRAZY! I guess the sauce was at least homemade..
We ordered bread, given you don't get any free bread (at an Italian place), for $7, which was nearly ice cold.. We expected, since we had to pay for it, that it would be warm bread, nope.
We were also the only people below the age of ~60 in the dining area, the lighting was less than optimal, and it was loud with only half capacity.
A dinner for two people, who opted not to have drinks, the price was $89, then $110 with a tip, is WAY TOO MUCH for this type of food. I think I see why they closed a year or so ago, just not...
Read moreI first reviewed Anjon's in 2016 and loved it then. We ate there often since we lived close. We were so happy to hear it opened again last year in Oct. We are now snowbirds and returned to the area for the summer. Anjon's was my first pick for celebrating my birthday tonight. We made a reservation online, but it didn't go thru apparently. They seated us anyway. If you want a reservation just call them. Online is thru a 3rd party and doesn't always make it to them. Brittney was our server, nice as can be and very knowedgable about the the menu. The food was just as we remembered. The best italian I've ever had. Meatballs, sauce and stuffed bread are so good! We left full and leftovers for dinner tomorrow, plus a jar of sauce and a loaf of stuffed bread for home. Stuffed bread with sauce makes a great lunch! Thank you so much for finally opening up again. We will...
