Joe's — Restaurant in Schulenburg

Atmosphere is great, but the service and food are horrid. Got greeted and seated right away…then we sat for 40 minutes, and were walked passed by all 8 employees without even being acknowledged. It was too late to go to any other restaurant. Not a single server, host, cook or manager even looked at us, let alone acknowledged us and told us they’d be with us as soon as possible. The place wasn’t busy and tables were empty. Guess that should have been our sign.

After finally getting acknowledged and ordering, the food came out cold, burgers were greasy and loose, and honestly just inedible. And for the price of things here? Unacceptable.

We wanted this place to be great because the vibe is amazing, the menu has potential, but the execution and service and just horrible. It’s hard to support local small business when an experience is like...

We were really excited to see a new restaurant in Schulemburg. We started by ordering Brussell sprouts and cheese curds. The Brussels sprouts were delicious! They were out of the curds. Then the menu praised Joe's sauce. I ordered that with my cheeseburger. They were out of Joe's sauce and there was no cheese on my burger. The burger was cooked the right temperature however there was no seasoning. Hubs ordered the wings, they were nice and meaty however they came out with a dry rub instead of the Buffalo sauce. Maybe they are working out the tweaks but we will wait a while...

Walked in at about 7:30pm, got seated almost immediately, ordered drinks and food, then proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our appetizer to arrive cold. Our main dishes arrived 5 minutes after also cold. For almost an hour wait the food was not worth it. On top of the food was the unholy noise of the place, it wasn't packed by any means but the few families in there made it almost impossible to hear anything.
