My family lives 2 homes away from Socrates pizza. We order from here frequently and have always enjoyed the food. Tonight we have experienced something truly bizarre and disappointing however. We called multiple times to place an order, and the person keeps putting us on hold without even speaking! We have been on hold combined now for over an hour. Nobody is picking up and we are STILL on hold. We understand things get busy and being short staffed but however, instead of being rude to regular customers, it’s okay to clearly say you’re busy and the wait time will be exorbitant. Review update Over $50 on two pizzas that tasted no better than a bar pie. The crust had no flavor and way too much yeast.They have very low quality cheese and the toppings as well. This place used to be known for their crust and known for their high-quality premium pepperoni before it seems to change the owner but now it’s just a oil pepperoni pizza with no flavor with horrible crust. Good standard pizza. Good Cheese Blend...solid crust with just right thickness...could use more sauce. Will order with extra sauce next time. Like my sauce a bit tangier, like they have on a good party pizza. That would propel this pizza into the next level. That said, this is probably the best Ive had in northern RI. Will visit again to try italian grinder as well.
