Berghoff's Cafe — Restaurant in Scott City

I went in there on Oct 4th. Myself and my brother were setting there 10 mins before we was ever asked for drinks. Got our drinks and menus. There was few other people came in. They were immediately waited on which they were directly behind us. Well the lady working on the other side was working her rear off. While the lady on our side clearly was more concerned about looking cool. Anyway we proceeded to move to the other side so we could get waited on. On the walk to the other side the lady that was on outside hollars out. Good luck with that. So I took that as my time to leave. She then proceeds to go get her mother. Which she knew what she done or she would of atleast let us cash out. Her mother then proceeds to tell us reasons why we didn't get waited on. Something about water in cape. Which I find that to be a sorry excuse. Being everyone else was waited on and we recieved menus. I will never in life be in that place. Those that were involved will ruin the business. If I weren't aggrivaited when I left I should of given the older lady 10 dollars. Cause she was working way harder than the daughter and the mom only...

Our first experience here was better. The second is not so good. Service was mediocre. Food was not good at all for the price. I got a tiny biscuit that cost 3.99 and two tiny eggs for over 5.00. My friend had pancakes and bacon but said it wasn't so good. But the kicker is the coffee. It was AWFUL 😞!!? If it had been good the other grievances would have melted away! They are trying to economize on the coffee but that is not profitable in the long run. But they do have a monopoly. There is no other ma and pop Cafe for over 10 miles or more that is open on Sundays...

Laid back, easy going, friendly atmosphere. Sitting your self is a little confusing at first, but the waitress was quick to bring the menu and take our drink order. Giving her a thumbs up for her attentiveness, checking on us three times after our meal was served, making sure that the coffee cup were full and that everything was ok to our liking. I don't want to sell the over all experience short, but for me the waitress can make or break the complete package.
