Laura's Pizza & Hoagies — Restaurant in Scott Township

Normally we have loved this place and their pizza. We ordered tonight and it was awful. Both of the pizzas were burnt and our hot wing pizza had no toppings on half of the pizza. It was flat on my lap for the drive home so it's not like they slid around (unless it did while still at Laura's). If I'm passing almost $20 for a specialty tray of pizza - I would expect it to not be burnt and actually have the toppings I paid for. Unfortunately we won't be ordering from here anymore which makes me sad because we really have had good experiences prior and it's hard to find a good pizza place around here. The mozzarella...

Overall a good experience going here. Friendly staff. Quick wait time for a Friday (20 minutes for 2 pies). Certainly affordable.

My ONLY gripe and in my opinion it’s a big one….

The sauce is EXCEPTIONALLY sweet. Too sweet. It kills the flavor of the remainder of the pizza. The crust is great, good cheese, but the sauce is rough. The meat lovers pizza was full of flavor but the sweet sauce cuts through it.

I won’t fault the experience because it certainly wasn’t a bad one. If that’s how they make their sauce, that’s how they make it. Don’t change it because of me but I would’ve enjoyed it much more if it...

I'm going to gush bc this review has been a long time coming. Been eating Laura's NEPA/Old Forge style pizza for a decade, though mostly her par baked red, which always comes out amazing! I finally had a chance to eat it right from the oven and it didn't disappoint, the white half tray had a perfect crisp to the crust and the oozy cheese was piping hot and delicious. This place is a gem and worth the detour....
