This is the best Mexican food in town, by far!! If you haven't yet, stop in and try the food.

Update: We are now regulars at La Cabaña and the food is still excellent and comes out quickly. They have kept working on the restaurant's interior since they opened and the atmospere is great. Everyone who works here is friendly and nice, they make you feel welcome. We will be stopping by often for lunch and dinner.

Original review: I am so so happy that La Cabaña is finally open! I have been looking forward to it since the sign went up. I went tonight and had an absolutely wonderful experience.

All of the staff is very friendly and hardworking. It was super busy but we had plenty of room between us and other tables, and our food came out quickly! The restaurant was very clean and our server was super kind and attentive and we got refills of our drinks frequently.

The food was incredible. It is truly authentic Mexican food, even the more tex-mex options are as good as I could find in El Paso or New Mexico where I used to live. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived fresh and hot! The steak is so tender and flavorful. The chicken had excellent flavor and was velvety soft.

If you're worried about food being too spicy, don't be! Everything I had was very flavorful without being too 'hot' spicy for my family members who dont like spice at all. If you like spicy, ask for the in-house green salsa or their house hot sauce, which are plenty spicy!

I will definitely be coming back often and bringing my family...

If you visit, only pay with cash. I had to open a credit card dispute because this place more than doubled the tip I left. The service was the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant which greatly impacted our dinner. They took our chip basket and literally never returned with chips. Finally had to find someone and ask for it from someone else. We ordered sizzling fajitas and they brought them out hot and said the shells weren’t ready yet. They never brought the shells. I finally ate with no shells and eventually flagged down another employee who said they would go get some. They came back with wrong kind. Since our waitress disappeared after the order and never came back, we eventually ran out of drinks and never got our bill brought to the table. We also left food on the table I would have carried home, but you cannot do that if no one is waiting your table to bring a box. Went to the register and asked for the bill and paid there. I was tempted to leave no tip, but decided to leave 10%. When the charge was posted to my card, the tip had been changed to a 25% tip. I had to call credit card company. All of this was unfortunate because the food was actually good, and it could be a great place if it could be trusted. Definitely not a way to...

So happy to have La Cabana open! The atmosphere and staff are amazing and the food is even better. Went with the family not even a week after their soft opening and had a great time. They were short staffed still, but did a great job getting food and drinks out in a timely manor with a full house and people waiting to be seated. We had Manny as our waiter and he was so great and very personable. He made all of us laugh and was even trying to teach my husband how to pronounce certain dishes. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area and La Cabana takes the cake. There are more authentic dishes as well as the menu is more customizable than anywhere around. Hubs loved the pig molcajete! They even have little pitchers for sodas and water. Will def be going back soon!...

I recently dined at La Cabaña, and while the atmosphere and service were enjoyable, the food was a major disappointment. The ambiance was pleasant, with a cozy and welcoming feel, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and on point with every request. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match up. Each dish I tried was dry and lacked flavor, almost as if it had been sitting out too long or was simply overcooked. It was disappointing to see so much potential wasted on what felt like very underwhelming, bland meals. Despite the positives in atmosphere and service, I can’t say I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a flavorful dining experience.
