I recently had a disappointing experience at the Starbucks located at 31317 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85266. I have visited this location numerous times and have consistently encountered issues such as overcrowding, understaffing, and incredibly slow service. It's disheartening to witness the few employees who work diligently amidst the constant stream of complaints from frustrated customers.
On this particular day, the service was exceptionally poor. Despite the lack of a significant crowd, my order was delayed due to another customer who came in through the drive-thru and placed a large order totaling $200. Instead of prioritizing the orders that were already in progress, the staff chose to focus solely on fulfilling the drive-thru order, leaving me waiting for a staggering 27 minutes to receive just two pink drinks.
When I voiced my concerns to the manager, I was informed that the drive-thru orders take precedence over in-store orders - a policy that I find highly questionable. If this is indeed their policy, I strongly believe it needs to be reconsidered. Perhaps implementing a limit on drive-thru orders, such as five items or less, would ensure a fair and efficient service for all customers. It was disheartening to witness the five customers who placed their orders before the drive-thru customer patiently waiting for nearly 30 minutes.
Overall, my experience at this Starbucks location was extremely disappointing. The continuous issues with overcrowding, insufficient staffing, and slow service make it difficult for me to recommend this particular store to others. I hope that the management takes note of these concerns and takes the necessary steps to improve the overall customer experience...
Read moreWent to this location on saturday morning. Ordered food and drinks for 2. Wasn't really busy. After about 7-8 minutes of waiting I got my second drink and asked about our two food orders. I was totally shocked by a young man's response,, as he announced loudly, but to noone in particular, "our oven is being repaired and your order is going to take a long time. Thank you for your patience". I said, in response: does that mean, another minute, or another hour?" perturbed by the message (unhelpful) and the tone (inappropriate). I had an appointment to get to and was going to be late, and needed to leave. When I asked that question of one employee, another employee shot back "yes, somewhere in between those" without looking at me, and then walked away. Went back to counter and nicely said, I'll just cancel my order. the very nice person at the register, having heard this interchange, was very nice, and apologetic, and started to credit me the food portion back on my card. Before she could do it, my food appeared... No problem with equipment failure. No problem with back ups. Really like starbucks. Big problem with employees who respond to frustrated customers with rude, snarky responses when the issue is the store's equipment and not the customer's impatience They are hurting your business and should find a job where service doesn't matter at all. Read moreUpdate I have been coming to this location for 2 years and in the last 6 months they lost some amazing staff not sure what happened. What used to be walking in the door and they would say good morning and even most of them knew my name is now no bags or carriers at the pickup area been there for 2 minutes staring at the staff hoping someone would at least look over at me it's not that busy no one was in the Drive-Thru at all just so I can say can I please have a bag and a carrier finally I had to say excuse me. Once I got my food together the young lady standing next to me realized her food was underneath mine they never called out her name. Again not sure what happened here I don't want to have to drive backwards to another location
