Just left this restaurant. The 2 stars is for the cleanliness, despite the old moldy scent in there. What restaurant doesn’t accept cards? I mean even some churches take cards. Anyway, we paid. The presentation of the food was nice. However, the taste was nothing to write home about. The green beans and corn were salty. The rice was cold. The grits were cold. The eggs were cold. The chicken was cold too. The bolonga was burnt. The sausage was also burnt. The bacon on the bar was flimsy like it needed to go back on the grill for a few more mins. The waitress in our area stood at a table and talked all of 20 mins while dirty tables were sitting around. When we were midway through our meal she comes to the table and asked if we needed refills. It was obvious none of the tables were important to her. We had a bad experience in the past here but decided to give this place another chance. Nothing has changed. We drove from Florence but it was a waste of a drive and money. Save yourself some time and drive to Woodstone BBQ in Florence. You won’t be disappointed and still hungry like we...
Read moreI went to the restaurant today and while I enjoyed both the food and the service I did not appreciated being cheated by the cashier. I gave him a twenty dollar bill and he gave me change for a ten with a knowing open look for me to dare and challenge him. Could I have been wrong? absolutely not, as all I had in cash was twenty( others credit cards) that I checked upon entering the restaurant. Could he have simply made a mistake? no, his knowing look and quick insistence that I gave him a ten even before I questioned my change let me know he knew. I had a lovely day at the Moore Farms and was with new friends so did not wish to cause a scene. He was also extremely friendly to the group I was with all white and did not or refused to make eye contact with me. The food was great the service ( by some church youths was great but.... being cheated left a bitter taste in my mouth. My recommendation . Ensure you look at your money and announce what you have given him( cashier) and this should be an...
Read moreWe have eaten here many times and usually enjoy it, but unfortunately, this visit was terrible, two workers were speaking very loudly about a simple miscommunication involving my mother—right in front of customers, including my entire family.
The issue started when they said they would “check the back” or that they “had more” of something, and my mother misunderstood. Instead of handling it privately or professionally, they began trash-talking her loudly, even after she walked away.
I actually interrupted them and told them it was unprofessional to talk about her in front of everyone. Even after I said something, they still kept talking. This all happened in full view and earshot of guests at the food bar.
It was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and made us feel very uncomfortable while we were there . This is not how customers should be treated, especially over such a small...
