Dunlap's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Seabrook

Ice cream was good. They have both regular ice cream and soft serve. About 10 different flavors. They are cash only which is so frustrating but seems to be what most places do by Hampton Beach, NH . Customer service was normal not friendly but not rude. The issue we had was that we went to sit on the picnic tables behind the building, to eat our ice creams, and became covered in fleas. The people in our party that didn’t go to the picnic tables had no fleas or bites, the group that went to the back of the building where the picnic tables were located, had welts from the flea bites and fleas all over their bodies. This was terrible!!! The fleas seem to Hide in beard, hair, underwear and it was impossible to get out. We ended up dumping our ice creams and going home to shower and treat the bites. I’m not sure how the employees have not noticed this flea infestation when they go out back to clean or take out the trash. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was very excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it was a complete let down. Not only was the service terrible, but you had to wait in line with a building invested with May flies. To the point, they were in my icecream, cluttered all over the counters and building. Then, to top it all off, my soft serve tasted like frozen yogurt even though it’s advertised as soft serve ice cream. I ended up having to throw it away because it was so liquid like in terms of it’s consistency that it completely melted all over, immediately made my cone soggy, and then more flies got into it. First and foremost they are a cash only place. Secondly I, the mom, loved their ice cream the peanut butter cup ice cream was amazing. Peanut butter ice cream, with swirls of peanut butter, and chocolate chips. My pickiest eater was not a fan of their birthday cake ice cream. She expected chunks of cake batter, instead she received chunks of birthday cake. To be fair, she is super picky, and didn't ask what was in the ice cream prior to ordering.
