I was accidentally knocked down by a customer. I received a concussion. Owner was very disinterested never filed an accident report did not take my name or anything. A friend called and gave him my name and number he called me one time. Was not concerned about me was more concerned about the young man and that his mother was sick. I contacted him said he would pay for the X-ray mailed it to him several times. Sentc him a certified letter. He said he didn't have time to go to the post office. He had a business to run and his mother was dying. He hung up on me and put his phone on do not accept calls from my number. I find that a terrible way for a person to operate their business. I do not recommend anyone eating at this restaurant. A young man knocked me down accidentally he got upset and was crying. Daniel Huckleberry was more interested in the young man and left me laying in the floor and did not assist me in any way of getting up. He went back into the kitchen. I was totally ignored. Two of The Waitresses help me up my friend helped me to the table one of the waitress helped us to the car. Daniel Huckabee never came out of the kitchen to see if I got up or out of the restaurant safely or anything. This is no way to treat a customer. Very sad when you go out to have a pleasant dinner and you end up with a...

The best thing on their bar was the white beans. Needs another potato option, mashed potatoes would be good choice. Fried shrimp was over cooked. Peel and eat shrimp was mushy. Fish was ok, normal catfish fillets, nothing to write home about. Hushpuppies were doughy in the middle. Desserts were a complete miss. The chocolate cake was dry (ate the top layer only). The bread pudding was like no bread pudding I've ever tried, and that is not a compliment. Tried a cinnamon roll, it was decent to start, until I got to the middle, and it was doughy as well. For 51.00 and some change for 2 people I would hope for something to top a just a...

The local favorites in the cities I visit are usually a let down. I wasn't expecting much from what is essentially a house down the street from a truck stop...

But when I tasted the catfish I took To Go... I was immediately mad I didn't get more than I did. The fish is great. How they know how to cook catfish that good in the middle of nowhere Arkansas I'll never know, but it's some of the best I've had in a long time.

I got the German coleslaw, fried shrimp and fried catfish. All exceptional. Lady at the desk was friendly and the people eating there are as nice as can...

Huckleberries catfish buffet This is always one of my favorite stops when I drive through Searcy, Arkansas. The people here are always friendly and the buffet is always Well stocked with all kinds of fixins. The catfish fillets always have a great flavor as well as the catfish steaks. There's lots of seating available here for a small party or a larger group. The only thing here that I seem to dislike is how their restrooms are set up. They are very small and not very welcoming and do not provide much privacy.

Walk down to try it out while the fixed a tire at the Loves down the street. Was pleasantly surprised. Tried a little of everything: green beans, coleslaw, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, baked beans and the fried catfish. Everything had a very nice flavor and was very fresh except some of the boiled shrimp which were soft and unappetizing. At 17.99 per person before taxes seemed a bit expensive to me. Would definitely recommend trying if you are around.

This hidden gem is worth the time and/or drive. We arrived just after they opened on Sunday. There is a long hall for the times when they are busy. You pay as you enter (military and senior discounts). The buffet starts immediately. Lots of southern fried choices. A very reasonable price for the quality and amount of the food. The dining area was clean and spacious. Keep in mind there is a line waiting for their delicious cinnamon rolls.
