Village Pizzeria — Restaurant in Sebewaing Township

Was told that this is "the best pizza ever" but found it to be only mediocre once I FINALLY got someone to answer the phone. I called 8 consecutive times before someone finally picked up, and then instead of being friendly the girl on the other end was severely rude and didn't seem to want my business at all. Upon picking up my order I realized the problem, there were 3 teenagers probably no older than 16 who seemed to be running the place. I stood there for 10 minutes listening to what appeared to be the older one rattle on and on to a friend who was in there about the party she had attended that weekend. Finally the nicer girl behind the counter asked if she could help me at the same time as an older gentlemen came from the back part of the building (must have been the boss). I got my order and left only to find out that I paid for cheesy breadsticks and recieved just regular ones. Would highly suggest just ordering a pizza from lamplighter down the road if you want pizza. Lamplighter's pizza was approximately the same but the staff was MUCH more friendly and actually seemed to want my business. I have tried to give Village Pizzeria more than one shot but every time it's the same thing: no one answers the phone unless I call repeatedly and whoever DOES finally answer is rude and seems to not want my business. Excellent pizzas and sandwiches served by very kind staff. They've helped me out with batches of pizzas for office visitors at work (do them a favor and call your order in the day before, if possible!!) and we've always had compliments from our visitors that the pizza was amazing. My favorite is the meat lovers! I only gave 3 stars for atmosphere because they're not like a Pizza Hut dine-in experience. They have a quaint, small dining/waiting area. You don't have to wait long for a single pizza though! And you'll get to watch the staff prep everything right in front of you. Prices are fair to maybe a little bit high, but considering you're supporting a locally owned small business, they're not asking a lot. Not long ago I bought a medium meat lovers pizza and a drink just for myself and it was right around $15. I probably could've made that last for 2 meals, but I pigged out for lunch that day. 😄 A small with a drink probably would've been plenty. My ONLY wish is that they'd bring back the calzones they used to have! MAN I miss me a Village Pizza calzones! Here's hoping VP will be around for many years to come! They'll always have me...

Ordered a Lg pepperoni pizza and it was BEYOND delicious!! The ranch (very important to me) was the BEST ranch I’ve ever had and need more lol.
