UPDATE - I did try their carne guisada, and it's great! In fact, it's my new favorite when we dine here. Still highly recommended! ORIGINAL REVIEW - We've dined at Cactus Bloom multiple times. Everything we've had has been great. So far I've tried their migas, omelette, Texas combo (I chose eggs, bacon, and a pancake), carnitas plate (came with lots of onions & bell pepper, which was great). Husband has had the chorizo & egg plate and said it's good. I want to try their carne guisada sometime. The wait staff is very attentive, coming around frequently with drink refills. The place is large, nicely decorated, and very clean. If you go here, don't be shy about driving around behind the restaurant to park - there's lots of room back there. When we first drove up we couldn’t find a parking in the front, then we went to the back and found some parking spots. I knew it had to be a good restaurant because it was full. I’m from El Paso and since they have the best Mexican food I’m very picky. This place was great and did not disappoint me! I ordered the beef skirt with Nopalitos it came with charro beans and the Spanish rice was perfect. My friend had chicken fajitas. The salsa and chips were great. They make their own flour and corn tortillas. I had the corn tortillas and they were big and tasty! I wanted to try their menudo but it would have been too much food. I will try it...

I love the name Cactus Bloom Cocina. It’s cute, unique, and fits the place perfectly. The restaurant has this old cafe style that feels really cozy and comfortable. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming anytime I’ve come, and I felt taken care of from the moment I walked in. The food is where this place really shines.
