The Coffee Shoppe was great, we stopped in to get a grilled ham and cheese...and a Frozen Hot chocolate. We Love supporting Black 🖤 Owned Buisnesses..🖤💚❤️💪🏾✊🏾👍🏾 While there discussing traveling from Texas and seeing the Civil Rights locations in Birmingham we told the couple there waiting we where trying to support Black 🖤 Owned Buisnesses. (They have a Black 🖤 Owned Buisness, Roofing.) And we where staying in Marion Alabama and let us know that Corretta Scott King..Martin Luther King's wife was from Marion Alabama. And that another gentle named Jimmy Lee Jackson that marched with Dr. King was from Marion as well. Support this Black 🖤 Owned Buisnesses in Selma and stay strong.

I visited Selma this morning on a Great Migration trip. As I walked the city just ground myself with history as I stumbled upon the BLACK GEM. I am from Michigan, I walked in and saw BLACK patrons, officers, and working civilians. I felt at home as I listened in on the small talk. I ordered THE BEST salted caramel frappe I ever had. I also bought a white chocolate raspberry scone (I hate scones but needed something sweet). Best scone ever! It was soft, buttery, sweet, and filling! Thank you all for your taste of hospitality it is much appreciated! Much love!

Not a big coffee drinker but decided to stop by and see what this place had to offer and was not disappointed. Just a small little coffee shoppe but the staff was super friendly and helpful in choosing an option. Decided to try 2 things off the menu,a Frozen Hot Chocolate and a Strawberry/Banana smoothie....BOTH WERE BETTER THAN I COULDVE EVER HOPED. Seriously,That was probably THE best strawberry/banana smoothie I have ever had. And the frozen got chocolate will make you never want actual hot chocolate again!!!

I would usually give this place 5 stars but today changed my whole taste about this place. I called in for a chef salad and specifically asked for eggs. When I picked up the salad, my payment was taken and I was told after it was paid for that they were supposedly out of eggs. Well, duh...that should have been told before taking payment. I was asked if I wanted a refund and I said no and that I would just add eggs when I get home. I get home and open up the salad, it's full of more big lettuce than anything else. The salad was horrible and is in the trash now. Attentive customer service should have been...
