We were in the area visiting the Isle of Que & Ricketts Glen State Park and saw this place when driving by. I love fried chicken so we came back for dinner. The fried chicken is beyond delicious, plump, moist, juicy & flavorful and the pieces are very large. Hubby & I got 1 of the meal deals and I honestly had a hard time choosing between the vast list of sides and was also surprised to learn that one of the sides - filling - is actually what I know as stuffing (wish I had asked before ordering because I love homemade stuffing and I bet theirs is spectacular). For our sides we got baked beans and mashed potatoes, both were exceptional and they even serve the gravy in a little gravy boat, I enjoyed the gravy so much I could have eaten it with a spoon. The staff was so friendly and even though we arrived close to closing no one rushed us or made us feel awkward. Now we have to come back to the area, if only for...
Read moreService is bad. Really bad. I waited 15- to 20 minutes just to be offered a drink. Everything takes a long time. I was at the point where I was just thinking to leave before they even bring out my food.
Then the food comes out, looked like there was no feelings while preparing the food.
I was not offered a drink refill, I couldn't even ask for one, as everyone around me was busy and never checked on me.
No Ketchup or Mustard was ever offered to me, and no napkins on the table.
I was really hoping that this will take a turn to the good at the end, as I looked on the menu, and they have a nice selection of good food, so I was hoping to come here again often.
But at this point, I'm not even sure that I would tru them again.
One of the slowest service I ever had.
I was literally sitting and staring on the ceiling out of being bored.
I might try my luck...
Read moreBreakfast buffet on a Saturday morning ~ it wasn't crowded which should have been my first clue that it's gone downhill. The all you can eat buffet is down to one small serving table, and half of that is sliced fruits, cottage cheese in a large bowl and stale small Danishes. I want to say even the danish is cheap now, maybe a small bit of fruit filling with little frosting. The ham is large thick chunks floating in water, some of it looked a bit brown/green. Sausage links also floating in water, unappealing. The shredded hash potatoes with cheese used to be good, my favorite. Now it's just bleah, almost bland with cheese, no ham bits like before, it's like eating undercooked Mac n cheese now. Bacon is thick, which you'd think would be good but it's actually kinda tough, overcooked, like it's cheap cuts of meat now. The French toast...
