Lovely people, unique atmosphere and absolutely delicious pastries. We’ve tried the Cornwall Roll, the orange square, the lemon curd brûlée tart, the chestnut crunch, the baguette and the pain aux raisins. We used to live in Paris and are really, really glad such a great little bakery opened here, especially since Ellsworth Farm is under new ownership and no longer sells its miraculous cider donuts. Picking up pastries for a hike on the AT is the best way to spend a Saturday morning in the area. The store also has a beautiful collection of art, vintage posters, furniture, books, fabric, and all sorts of other things - 1960s Ghanaian wax cloth, Japanese rozome batik napkins, an Art Deco Chinese chest, an almost radiant birch dining table, a handmade Indian model boat with folk dolls on it, delicious-smelling tea, and all manner of fascinating objects. We found this amazing gem on google from an older post about their breakfast sandwiches. It’s the most wonderful hidden oasis. Opened only on weekends Fri-Sun 8am until they sell out. Bruce and Yobana have figured out the recipe for success with this small quaint bakery. We drive 90min each direction regularly for their decadent baked goods and the best breakfast sandwich my husband or I have ever had. Bruce makes every breakfast sandwich with love and care. You can taste it everytime!! Yobana is so friendly and caring she remembers most everyone’s names, and their orders. They both have created a warm welcoming annd charming atmosphere.

My friends and I had finished just finished a hard, rainy weekend canoeing on the Housatonic. By Sunday morning we were eager to get going and forwent breakfast in camp, deciding we would stop at the first place we saw for coffee and sandwiches.

Little did we know we were making one of the best decisions we made all weekend.

Every single item we got was of exceptional quality, from the coffee to the sandwiches to the pastries. All of us ended going back for more because it was just so good. The service was excellent, and thank you for recommending the incredible aioli to go with the sandwiches!
