Coffee Cup Cafe — Restaurant in Sharon

Stopped in for breakfast a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning. We had a group of about 10 or so of us. The waitress was quick to take our orders, but she had this tone to her voice that made it sound like the didn't really want to help us. We had to wait quite a bit for our food, even though the restaurant was only about half full at the time. Anyhow, everyone was happy with their food at first. Then we noticed our 11 yr old wasn't happy with his Swedish pancakes. Mainly because he didn't know what he was really ordering but said he wanted them. Anyhow, the waitress never came back to our table to ask how any of our food was. We had to stop her walking by to ask for something else for our son to eat. She went back to the kitchen and we could hear her yell the order into the cooks. No biggy I thought, but then 15 minutes went by and we had to ask her where his food was. She rudely said, that there was other orders in front. On one side of the fence, it really wasn't the cook's fault or the waitress's fault for the youth's mistake, but waitress didn't want to do anything either to make sure the youth was happy, or anyone else at the table either.

Shortly after we left the restaurant, we had to stop at the local gas station to use the bathroom. Then about 45 minutes later, we were stopping at another location for a bathroom. Needless to say, it made for a very long drive home that normally should have taken 4.5 hours. So, the question becomes, what was in the food? It would be one thing if it was 1 person running for the bathroom, but it was 2 people out of 4 in my truck, and 2 out of 2 in the other truck running for the bathroom on multiple times on that drive. Now that I think about it, the only common thing most of had on our plates was eggs of some sorts!

Not sure we'll ever be back, even though we have family less than 5...

This restaurant will NEVER get my business again. If the staff does not know your name, you will be the last one served, your order will not be prepared they way you ask, and your service will be slow. I have lived down the street for 3 yrs, been in there 6 times in 4 months and still have been mis treated. The waitresses have been different every time. I tried phone in orders twice and have had them pick up the phone then immediately hang up. The food is ok. My neighbors refuse to dine there for the same reasons. Deb' s Country Cafe in Darien seems to be a growing hot spot for us residents of Sharon that are not known by the staff at the Coffee Cup. I'm shocked they can profit enough to stay open. The people I have talked to about the Coffee Cup have nothing good to say. The bad reputation of the Coffee Cup spans into Walworth even. If you go to the Coffee Cup for the first time, I guarantee that it will be your first...

Hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. We went in for breakfast and waited for about 30 minutes (at a half way clean booth) for someone to come back and take our order. When our order was finally taken the waitress was extremely rude and invasive. Not to mention she was extremely loudly cussing like a sailor in front of children. The other waitress was also incredibly rude and acted like it was her first time seeing other humans. To top it all off I got absolutely horrendous food poisoning almost immediately. I was sick for 3 days from the food they served and it wasn't even that good. All and all it was a horrendous dining experience and a waste of money and time. I would not reccomend anyone be a patron of the coffee cup cafe even if you had to drive 5 hours to eat somewhere else. I will continue to...
