Myrt’s Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Sharon

I cannot remember the last time I met such a rotten person as the lady that owns this ice cream shop. Maybe she just thinks it's OK to talk down to construction workers like they are below her and it's okay for her to ruin their day and ruin their job. That is certainly how she treated myself and my family today. First off let me say that I have battled stage three colon cancer for the last 2.5 years. I'm struggling financially And every other way you could imagine. I am a mason by trade and that is my business for 23 years. So I got a good job next to her ice cream shop. I was very Happy to get the job. As I was setting up my equipment today.The owner of the ice cream shop a lady came walking up to me and very rudely asked me a bunch of questions over and over. Is never smiling always scowling. Never saying hello or thank you or goodbye. Saying things like that alley that you're setting your equipment open is a emergency access alley , u cant do that. The building needs to be repaired.The only way to repair it is to set up scaffold along this wall. I have done this all over wisconsin and illinois for decades. We were doing absolutely nothing wrong.We have a right to work too. She just keeps asking rude questions over and over.. Does the village know that you're doing this? When are you leaving? Now it took us hours to set up the scaffold along this wall. And she was demanding of me that I take this equipment down and put it up every day in order to do the work that needs to be done on the building next to hers. And many other rude questions. Her tone was rude.Her face was full of hate.Her eyes were burning pits of hated. I was very nice and polite the entire time.I answered all of her questions and she Did not like the answers to many of them . She then stormed in and out of her business over the next couple hours. She stopped and took pictures of us while we were trying to work. Constantly walking too close to our scaffolding system putting herself in danger. Showing Extremely negative and hate filled energy. Within an hour, somebody that works for the village, a very nice elderly gentleman that was a Vietnam Veteran came up and talked to me and asked me pretty much the same questions and I told him the same answers. I laughed at one point and said you work on sundays l o l. He said when somebody calls me lol , Then I show up . so she called him. He was just trying to keep the peace which was good with me. Then maybe less than an hour later or so.The police drive by and stop in the road in front of the job and take pictures. I told everybody the same thing... Please talk to the owner of the building i am repairing . I have only seen her once before. And I bought ice cream from her shop with my daughter. I didn't have construction clothes on. She was polite. I don't understand why this person thinks that it's OK to be so awful to somebody.That is just trying to work much less hard labor for a living..I don't know. She is the worst person that I have met in a very long time. I am appalled by her behavior towards me my cousin and my son. for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I can't imagine acting the way that she did towards somebody.That's a complete stranger that's trying to make a living. Whatever your name is you should be completely ashamed of yourself. The town of sharon needs a lot of mason repair work done in it. You are not helping your town or your community with your horrible abusive attitude. I hope you get...

This is my favorite ice cream parlor. The dairy in Hebron is fantastic, but the setting here can't be beat. It's like traveling back in time. It's quiet, there's no cell service (causing people to socialize more), and it's right in the heart of downtown. There's always people walking around and multiple little shops open to walk to.

What a lovely place to go for ice cream! My friend and I decided to go to Sharon for a “Norman Rockwell” ice cream experience. Myrt has added additional seating outside, The neighbors ride their bikes, bring their strollers and enjoy. She has added menus for cones or for a variety of ice cream desserts.
