Read moreWe came to stay at Little Creek to celebrate a birthday, and have dinner at the seafood bar. We'd been before and had a fantastic time. Unfortunately this time it fell short. Way short. Not sure if it was the servers mistake, or if the excuses he gave were legitimate. You can judge for yourself. We were a party of 6, so we expected things to take a little longer than usual. They seated us at a table outside the restaurant, which we thought would be great because we could all interact, instead of being spread out across the bar. It took almost 45 minutes to get our appetizers which were cold items, so no reason to take so long, and one was forgotten. We then got soups and salads in an appropriate amount of time. The seafood, soups, and salads had good flavor. Then, after another 20 minutes, were were told the fryers had gone down, and we could change our order to a sautee, but the fried items would not be able to come out. The server checked back again and said they were back up, and shortly brought all of our food out. Those that had ordered pan seared items had obviously sat under a heat lamp for too long and was dried out, which should have been remade, and not even attempted to bring out. The fried food was soggy, and not enjoyable. The sautee was good. They did attempt to make it right by taking care of the entrees, but it still left a bad impression on all of us. We also ate at the grill the next morning, and did not get great service, and waiting for each phase of dining experience from getting drinks after ordering, waiting to order food, waiting to receive food, waiting for our check, were all too long. Not sure what their restaurant issues are right now, but it definitely needs to...
Read moreIt use to be so good. Lately (last 6 months) the prime rib is never rare. When you ask if it is rare the cook says yes but they bring out medium even at 430pm. I am not sure if their current cook knows what rare is. Yes I have shown the manger multiple times with apologies. I am so hopeful for how is use to be I keep trying. The seafood portion of this place is mostly great. Pre shelled crab like in the bisque has lots of little shell pieces you pick out. Watch the server when making the seafood sauté. There is one server that will use the same spoon on all of them even if they are different flavors (peanut sauces) and set the spoon onto a dirty counter (scatter food remanence) and pick the spoon back up and go back into all the sautés going in different pans. Then literally argued with me when I said something and asked for mine to be remade, down playing it saying "it wasn't a big deal". Most of the servers are great. A few are extremely defensive and argue with you or make you wait while they cater to groups with a man paying. Sadly I get better service if a man is sitting with me then just women. Except for the one woman server she is exceptionally friendly to everyone and fast. I have been here so many times and watched it happen to others, not just me. Fishing for tips. To the servers reading this when a customer says don't waste my time, lets break it down... the customer might have to work 2-3 hours to pay for their meal and when you make their meal take over an hour because of issues and remaking food or having to offer something else you have just wasted over 3-4 hrs of their time. We work hard for our money. Do it right the first time. Tips are for good service, not a...
