Just ate here with one other person, we were sitting at a table with several other people. We did not receive the one item we ordered and I always leave a cash tip. When my card was processed for the two of us I saw that we had been charged for the item we did not receive plus a tip was added to the card. When I questioned the manager about this he stated that because we were sitting at a table with more than 6, the tip was added on the card despite it only being 2 of us paying. The cash tip I left was considerably more than tip added to card but I would never have left cash tip if anyone had told me another amount would be added to bill. The manager stated it said that on the menu but I did not read the entire menu to see that⊠who does?? He refused to refund the additional tip. I always feel customer service should be a priority and it certainly was not here.
In response to your comment⊠the bill should have been about $25 and we left an $8 cash tip. I never said we were not refunded for missing food item, I said we were never refunded for the additional $5 tip you added to our bill. We were charged $30. So you forced us to tip $13 on a $25 check. Again, poor customer service and a less than honest response from...
Read moreMamma Mia's food can definitely vary. It really depends on what you get. The place has stayed in business in Shenandoah for over 25 years so they must have fantastic business practices and the staff is always very friendly. The burgers are good. The subs are my good too, they're always packed and promising. When you get to the other parts of the menu, it can get....iffy. The pizza is not my thing at all, it's usually very greasy and slimy. However, my parents love the pizza. I've never tried their pasta (even though I've wanted to) because it's just so overpriced, I'm not sure if they think they're competing against Olive Garden or what's going on but I swear, they raise their prices constantly. Today I got a sub, side of fries, and a dessert and it was a...
Read moreMy son and I stopped in on the way home from massanutten. Our first visit and didnât know what to expect as it was on a recommendation from a timeshare salesperson who we just said no to lol. The atmosphere is quaint and the food was amazing! I got spaghetti and meatballs and he got a calzone and a meatball sub to go. The meatballs were some of the best we have ever tasted! My son actually said the best meatball sub ever, it was perfect. Heâs 19 and knows all there is about pizza and meatball subs. The staff was so nice. It was a little chilly inside, but I seem to be cold natured these days. So take a jacket if youâre the same :)
We are from the Richmond area and would totally go back to Mamma Miaâs when we are out...
