Taste The Southern Market — Restaurant in Shenandoah

Just picked up some food on my way home, staff inside was super friendly, kitchen was being cleaned and with my experience in foodservice it looked well maintained.

Food was great I had green beans, Mac and cheese, and tenders and their jalapeño ranch.

All in all, good flavor. Well seasoned, not dry despite having been pulled from it's warmer station and sat in my vehicle for 2 hours before I could enjoy it.

Price wise was about what you'd expect to pay for it. Potentially even less. I got 2 pint containers loaded with sides and a bunch of strips for about 15 bucks. Totally worth it, I was full after about half and I'm a big guy.

Overall a great little place that's easy to miss but worth it to stop in on your way...

I ordered two family Thanksgiving meals. One Turkey and one Ham with Green Beans, macaroni and cheese, Gravy, mashed potatoes and dinner rolls with Two pumpkin pies. It was a lot of food. Super convenient to pick it up on Thanksgiving day. I hosted dinner at my house. With working the day before and the day after Thanksgiving it was awesome to just be able to pick it up. What a great place this is. BJ is a super nice guy. Quaint little place with FANTASTIC fried chicken and OMG clothed bologna sammiches. We got pics of my bologna and hot pepper cheese with mustard and my wifes fried bologna and white american cheese with mustard sammies. Totally forgot the chick pic cyz it smelled so good we dug right in. Great atmosphere super friendly. Thanks for everything. If you know what's good for you COME...
