I've been a usual customer at Win Wang my whole life but for the past year or so it's been getting gradually worse, went in the other day on lunch break and there wasn't much in the buffet. I got some Lo-Mein and terriaki chicken. Took one bite of both and spat it all out, seemed like it been there all day or longer. After waiting for someone for 10minutes I realized I didn't have time and wasn't going to try to waste anymore communicating through broken English. Took one drink of soapy sprite and decided I had had enough terrible service, especially for somebody that has brought in a lot of business as an employer myself and left a note description that the food was not worth my stop or money. It made me sick. Went the next day on work break with a friend, later in the day to see if they had anything to actually eat and pay for; a second chance. Maybe they would put effort into it after my feedback right? Nope. Before we were seated I was rushed by the only 2 adult staff saying how I didn't pay. I tried to explain that if I don't eat anything, drank soapy sprite, and spat out one bite of rock-hard noodles and chicken; there's nothing to pay for and I'm not going to. It's terrible service and I shouldn't have to pay for something I never ate. This really seemed to aggrivate the guy, he kept trying to kick me out despite the lady trying to resolve the issue and apologise, and seat us. I wasn't sure what to do they were contradicting eachother and the business as a whole. In midst of their anger I could barely unstand their broken English in yelling so, childishly they asked if I needed it written down too, since I had left a note on the issue beings that nobody was available to talk to. Not to mention the fact sanitation is awful and most people don't want to be a part of piano or singing lessons they teach their kids in the already small buffet room. Mind I tell you the 10 year old kids are the other half of their staff. As an 18 year old I feel as if I could run that exact business significantly better, individually. I will never be back to Win-Wang again and advice everyone to save your money, and eat anywhere else or the China Gate Buffet on 59. Anything is better than a restaurant that half-asses...
Read moreThe food was great. If we could get some. Went in the afternoon on a Saturday and no one else in the place. There was some food on the buffet, but all entrees were almost empty. When we came a few items were stirred around and then some fresh crab ragoons were brought out. Only thing fresh available at that time. The entire staff was always in the back. Seemed like children were having a singing lesson. They were playing a guitar at a piano . A few people came in for an order to go and stood at the front forever waiting for someone to come help them. Not once were we asked if we wanted a refill. I finally had to flag her down on the rare occasion she came from the back. My daughter loves the chicken terriyaki on a stick and I asked if we could have some prepared. She said they had no sauce to make it and the lunch rush had eaten all of it. I really don't believe there was a lunch rush. She saw the disappointment in our faces and did come out later with some. I may go back if I'm in the area and hungry because the food was good, but will not make a special trip to visit here again.. Definitely will be during "the rush" so maybe the food will be available. I live in Red Oak, IA and Chen's buffet is so...
Read moreThis is my brother's favorite place to eat, and considering he refused to eat Chineae food a few years ago that really says something. He's addicted to the General Tso's, which is quite good. Their fried dumplings/potstickers are also amazing, and they're the only one in the area I know of that has them. Also they have the best crab rangoons I've ever had. I normally am not a fan of them, but theirs are amazing. I dunno what that other guy is talking about with the rice because we've never had that experience. Everything has always been fresh and delicious and the chicken is very high quality. The decore is fun, and the owner is super friendly and nice. We've also had the buffet several times and it's always delicious and fresh. We drive almost 40 minutes to eat here, so that...
