Food is authentic & was good enough... Sat there about 15 minutes before being approached, got no chips & salsa until our food arrived later. Server spoke no English, so we ordered sweet tea & got unsweet. I can drink it unsweetened so did not complain. My husband cannot, so asked for sugar, in Spanish, & server brought sweet-&-low & something in yellow packets that was also not sugar... We only put real food & not toxic chemicals in our bodies, so his full glass of unsweet tea sat there untouched. I ordered the Barbacoa plate with Lamb but got beef. It was tasty enough & my Spanish is too limited to complain. lol I did like the large size corn tortillas that came with my barbacoa, & the Salsa Verde was very good. We were done eating when an English-speaking server came to work & our server sent her to our table, so hubby eventually got a glass of sweet tea, which he downed right before we left. We will brush up on our Spanish before we return, but food was decent enough that we will...
Read moreMy waitress was fast, FRIENDLY and helpful. I ordered a chicken tamale-When I unwrapped it and cut it in half I noticed it was pork in which I did not eat it. When I was checking out this other waitress with glasses very very rude. Was trying to charge me twice for it and not just charge me twice for tamales I have not eaten but Try and argue with me “ Are you sure you didn’t eat it” Like as if it’s sitting on the plate cut in half is it obvious that I did not eat it and I’m too stupid To know if I ate something or not, and she’s too stupid to look and see that it was right there on the plate. upon getting my drink to go, I kindly asked for a straw and she threw it on the counter and told my waitress that served me to give me the straw. I paid $25 for a drink two tacos and a tamale. Denison location never charges me this much but it’s all good. I won’t be coming back here if she’s working because we’re gonna be on the parking lot throwing hands. Don’t like your job...
Read moreAfter eating here often for the past 6 months it’s sad to say that it seems like their quality of service has gone done. When I first would eat here the service was slightly better where they’d check on you more often and make sure you have everything you need. Recently they’ve decided to charge extra for another basket of chips which really wouldn’t be a big deal if they actually filled up the basket with chips. It costs 2.50 extra for another basket which you can go buy a bag of any brand or home fried from your local Michocana for that same price. When they bring you your chips and salsa expect a very small bowl for 2 people and to have to wait 5 minutes for the waitress to come back before you can ask for more. This place has serious potential, you can tell, but just because other Mexican Restaurants are getting stingy that doesn’t mean you need to be like them. Next thing you know everything on the menu will cost...
