Arkansas Best Wings — Restaurant in Sherwood

Incredibly slow, but I was told it's worth it. Last night, they couldn't decide whether or not they were able to make the burger my daughter wanted, she ordered something different, then they said they could make it but only as a single. She agreed. We also ordered 32 wings and 2 orders of lemon pepper fries. When we got all the way home, we realized the fries were not in there and when my daughter tried her Burgers she said it tasted like it had been in the freezer for a couple of years. I called this afternoon to speak with a manager the guy that answered said he was so I explained what had happened. He was very polite and told me to Simply call an hour ahead when I was ready to pick it up tonight and apologized. However, when I called this evening to say I wanted to come and get it, he was extremely rude, told me I was incorrect about what Burger my daughter had ordered, cut me off more than once and finally cut me off by putting me on hold. When I pulled up to the location to get them and told him who I was he rolled his eyes and told me to just wait. I'm actually sitting here in line now and I'm a little nervous about my daughter eating whatever kind of burger he has decided she's going to get from them. I'm a little worried she might be eating spit or hair because he has such a nasty attitude. I have yet to try the food because we saved the wings to reheat on the grill tonight when we got the rest of the order. If it's exceptional I'll give a couple more stars and try and forgive the nasty attitude.

They seem to have a very steady business. The guy uses the fact that he's busy as his excuse for being so short with me. If it were my business I would be in a good mood because there were so many people wanting the food and I would hire help that would make it run a little smoother. And if I couldn't help being such a jerk, I wouldn't put myself in front...

I have eaten here on occasion. After today I will not be back. Phoned ahead and was told that 9 wings and a 2 piece fish would take 25 or so. Seems long for wings and a couple pieces of fish, but I head up there. Maybe they are busy. The parking lot is completely empty when I arrive. I sit in my car and wait. After pulling into the drive thru and no one answering I pulled into a parking spot. It was raining heavy and I went up to the window. When I paid the man for the food he told me 10-15 minutes on the food. I asked, what. He said 15 minutes. I asked why, I'd placed a call ahead order and waited 30 minutes for the food. I wasn't going to wait another 15 and asked for my money back. The man with the dreadlocks completely lost it at this point. He said here is your fking money, I don't need your business you punk a. What you give me? "A twenty man, I'm not gonna wait in the rain another 15 minutes." The dreadlocks man then responded well fk you faot, don't come back. Won't be a problem, I won't be back. The man with the dreads then followed me out of the back door and continued to call me faot, curse and threaten me. He tried to get me to approach him at the door. I was getting into my car at this point. He continued to threaten and curse saying I got something for you faot, I'll shoot you faot, you just mad cause you a faot. Don't come back or I got something for your @**. I will never be back, and I would warn any one out there not to go here either. I'm shocked and surprised that they are in business still. That lot would be better served as an expansion to the dollar general...

I thought I would try this place because of the reviews. I was very disappointed. First, I question the cleanliness of the place, to the point where I think the heath department might need to look into it. However, I get that this is a small business, so they might not have the money to keep the place looking that nice.

It took 25 minutes to get 9 wings and a drink. I could have cooked it at home faster. On top of it, they were extremely over cooked (almost to the point of being jurky) on the inside and mushy/greasie on the outside, after eating 2 wings I couldn't take it any more and trashed what was left. My guess, they were par-cooked and set in a warmer all day, and reheat in the frier to attempt to make them edible. Only since the car in front of me took 20 minutes, they got all mushy and greasy sitting in a box for 20 minutes, before I got to the window.

I thought about taking it back to complain, but given what people say here about how rude they are, if you attempt to complain, it wasn't worth the headache over $7.
