This particular location used to be pretty good, and maybe it still is, but this visit didn't quite make the cut. My wife, my daughter, and myself came in for dinner around 7pm on a Saturday night. It was moderately busy when we got in, but we were still seated pretty quickly. Our table was sticky when we sat, like, my napkin tore because it adhered to the table, but that happens sometimes and it was my fault for not saying anything. Our server came over quickly and got drink orders and brought our drinks quickly, and then we ordered dinner. We both knew what we wanted before we got there so we were ready pretty quickly. We both ordered Ribeye steaks, that come with a choice of side and salad. We both opted for loaded baked potatoes and the regular tossed salad. My daughter got chicken strips and fries. Sadly, we didn't get our salads until after our meal came out. And more unfortunately, when I got into the meal, more disappointment. The baked potatoes have imitation bacon on them, which I do not like and definitely would have ordered something else had I known. The steak, which was cooked correctly and looked awesome, was bland and very chewy, which is not something that a medium ribeye should be...unless they are frozen. I peppered my steak and enjoyed the large piece of Texas toast that came with the meal, but the potato and salad were ignored completely. We waited for our server to come over to check on us again so we could get a togo box for my wife's food, which was apparently better than mine, but she never came back by. Unfortunately, we had to abandon the remaining bit of her dinner and my hope of a piece of carrot cake clutching the meal and bringing me redemption... I went to pay and was met with a total of around $90.70ish. I immediately thought to myself that there must have been a mistake, and I guess my facial expression gave away what my brain was saying...so they recalculated the tab and it did check out, so I reluctantly paid. My honest opinion, this was barely a $50 meal before the mistakes, and for the $108 grand total, I could have absolutely gone to Roadhouse, Longhorn, Saltgrass, etc. and got a much better piece of meat, real bacon, and dessert for around the same price. Maybe next time, I'll stick with the burgers...but after this night, I'd be hard pressed to return...
Read moreI just left Ropers in Sherwood at approximately 7:30pm and I have to say this was one of the worst experiences I have had at this restaurant since I first started coming. They were busy, but after waiting 40 minutes for our food which never came and seeing people who came in after us get served we decided to leave. We were only a party of 2 with an order of grilled rice and a burger. When we informed our server that we were going to leave she did not offer an apology sor an explanation or status on our order and did not want to come to our table we had to actually flag her down to pay for the tea and side salad and for some reason she did not even ring up our order she had someone black ring it up ( I guess because we were black). Once we left we called to speak to the manager who stated that he was the owners son who offered a lackluster apology stating the orders get mixed up and that the staff were doing the best that they could. He then asked what did we want him to do as if we were the problem and we were irritating him with our complaint. He did rudely state that we could come back and get our money for the salad and drinks after we suggested it should have been free. So needless to say we are no longer customers and highly disappointed because the daytime...
Read moreMyself and a friend went there to eat yesterday. I was a local place, so we decided to give it a try. Ordered the Hamburger Steak, baked potato, and salad. The waitress was very accommodating but new. Spilled part of my order when serving. The salad was very average. Had imitation bacon bits, not a fan of. The Hamburger steak was more like a hamburger patty that goes on a burger. Very small and seemed precooked. Very tough and overcooked. They served Texas Toast as a bread. The baked potato was the only decent thing on the order that came to $17.28 after tax. I try to support local businesses, but probably wonât be back to this one. I could have gotten a sirloin steak, cooked to my liking, a baked potato, with a fresh small loaf of bread, and perhaps paid a couple of dollars more for a decent salad, at Outback, that Iâve had many times before. I donât know what all of the positive reviews were about when a restaurant canât get a Hamburger steak rightâŚ. For what I received was way overpriced in my opinion. As we live in inflationary times nowadays, I feel this place, isnât a good value, for my dollars⌠I have close to 50K views on Google. I only write honest reviews, and am very conservative...
