When I walked in, there was a pretty decent line at the register, but fast enough that I wasn't waiting 10-15 minutes to get to the register. Right when you walk in, the menus will be to your left, mounted on a wall for you to grab and look at. I quickly ordered what I wanted and sat down. I arrived at around 11:18am and received my food around 11:50ish (20-35 minutes). The Orange Juice was okay. OJ was served in a mason jar and was slightly dirty on the outside. After receiving the food, I noticed the number of Strawberries served for my French toast was literally 9 small cut up pieces...which is like less than 2 whole strawberries (I honestly give my toddler more pieces/whole strawberries than that). They do give you just enough syrup or condiments for your meal. However, for me, the syrup I received was almost not enough if I were to order some sides (I like to put syrup on my eggs and sausage as well). Then, the worst happened, as I was approaching the third piece of the French Toast, I spied hair in my food 🥲. The hair looked like it was cooked with the batter because I tried to remove it, and it was literally in the food.
The service was okay, but since it was my first time, I didn't know that you had to get up and get your own napkins, forks/spoons, and straw. So, I sat there for a while waiting for my food and when it did arrive, I was looking for a fork somewhere. I had to leave my table to ask. Also, the young lady who brought my food barely said a word to me and just placed it quickly at my table. The instructions for new customers on where to order, where to get condiments or utensils is none existent and will have people roaming around to figure out what to do (some people get nervous asking workers where things are or where to get things). In my opinion, they need to do a little better in accommodating new customers. A sign to direct, or making sure the person at the register say after the order, "You can get your straws and utensils here or there, and you are welcome to sit indoors or outdoors. Enjoy!"
Overall, the experience/atmosphere was nice besides the drooping flower on the table. 🥀 The food was okay, but If I am paying $13+ for French Toast and possible sides for about $2-$4 more, we need more effort on the food presentation and health requirements...
Read moreI have been here twice now since moving to town and will say that although the atmosphere of this business is nice. The staff at the counter was not very nice both times I have visited. Not welcoming, very blunt. The first visit my husband and I both ordered drinks and food. Our food came out very fast but my husband spent the majority of the time downstairs waiting on our drinks which were lukewarm at best. His food was cold by the time he got to sit down to eat it. Food looked good but was swimming in some type of oil. It became very overwhelming the more you ate and we didn’t really finish it. Now, this 2nd time that we came in I will preface with I was already having a bad day, which is probably why I am irritated enough to leave a review. Again, I know my feeling towards this 2nd visit is more to do with me and first world- dumb issues- however, it is irritating me. We specifically came in to have a cup of coffee IN A CUP. I didn’t go through a drive through because I didn’t want a paper/plastic cup. I wanted to sit in a 3rd place with a cup of coffee and my husband. We came in at exactly 1:05pm (55mins before they closed). Ordered just coffee and a snack from the case for our daughter. When I noticed the barista pulling paper cups, I nicely said that we were going to have it for here instead of to go. She bluntly said, we close soon and switch over to paper closer to closing. Which, again- I understand that. What I don’t understand is why other people can be served for the dining room on plates and with cutlery. She asked if we were going to eat and in my mind I got more frustrated that they would give me regular dishes to eat but not a cup?? It doesn’t make since to me. 30mins before closing, sure. And hour? It just made me mad. I understand rules and this barista was not out to get me, she was just doing her job but what is the difference between a plate and a cup? I think the rule is dumb and I’m being dramatic but really? I’m really trying to find a nice 3rd place to enjoy and...
Read moreI came in at about 9-9:30 am today. I paid an extra $1.50 for extra mayo realized it wasn’t in my bag when I got to the car and went back inside. No problem simple mistake. I asked for my mayo and a girl with braids went and brought me back the smallest silver dish of mayo not even a fry could be dipped it and “smiled” at me. It wasn’t even halfway full. I looked at it with a confused face because it was basically $2 and said I am actually to go. She went back and got me a clear sauce cup and that wasn’t even halfway full either. We are talking about those tiny clear sauce cups. I was afraid she was going to come back with just a dollop so I asked if she could fill the container up more and she just looked at me and turned around and when she came back the tiny little cup still wasn’t full. Just a little sauce cup for $1.50 and the worker with her hair in braids wouldn’t even fill it up all the way. Pricing isn’t the issue. She also immediately went and started talking to her coworker after I took the mayo as if I was worth complaining about. I did not feel welcomed. I don’t understand why she wouldn’t fill it I haven’t experienced “mean girl” things like this since high school. I’m also not a sauce person so I’m not just complaining, I just like the mayo. I was very polite and considering my family worked on this place during its remodel the owners were nice and it was so nice I figured the workers would be more cheerful and giving since they also partner with other family local places like knead and such. It was just odd. It’s okay everyone has bad days but to project it onto a random individual at your place of work isn’t fair! I just wanted what I paid for. I’m writing this from a private account in hopes of better service if I decide...
