Shirley Sub Shoppe — Restaurant in Shirley

Food's decent most of the time, a step above a lot of other local sub shops that you'll encounter in central Mass, and it's usually ready on time. The pizza's more of a NY style (drier crust instead of a greasy Greek style), so if that's your thing then you're in luck!

But the online ordering system isn't so great. It's been up for like 3 years and half of the subs are still missing descriptions so...good luck with that. Should you bother to customize your sandwich, what comes on it by default? Does this thing already come with cheese, or will you pay $1 extra for insurance that it does? How are you supposed to know what the House Special is by the name alone? It's a mystery.

Also can confirm that Fox News is usually on in the lobby, which is pretty polarizing for a pizza place. It's your business, you're allowed to make that choice for sure, but ohhh that doesn't seem wise. Order to small cheese pizzas to be delivered I was told it only be 30 to 35 minutes instead it took an hour and 20 minutes pizza was cold and gross..... OK so now instead of delivery I decide to go pick up my food I order to Specialty pizzas I asked for extra sauce on both and they were both bone dry felt like I was eating cheese on cardboard I also ordered a small shrimp and a small fried ravioli they were both overcooked and on top of it $43 later I have a coupon for $5 off if you spend $40 or more they refuse to let me use the coupon cause they said I have to spend 45 but yet the coupon says $40 or more this place sucks and I suggest no one go there I am so sorry I did..... My first time at Shirley Sub Shoppe in Shirley, MA. Very nice and clean, well lit and comfortable to sit and enjoy your good. We got the Shirley Special pizza and it was totally delicious , one of the best pizzas around the area ! It was a thin crust and the best part was the delicious , crunchy yet chewy crust . The toppings were fresh and also delish! Cheese was just right ! I’ve had a lot of pizza and thus would be in my top ten, which means it’s very good! Take a chance and you will agree how tasty it is ! Two of us had a small pizza to split and a couple drinks, it was just the right amount .Nice job...
