Village Pizza — Restaurant in Shirley

I decided to try out this establishment for the first time. I ordered online, a large Chicken Parmesan sandwich, couldn't have been simpler. The website said 30 minutes. I headed down a few minutes early. When I got to the counter and gave my name, the counter person went to check, and when she came back I knew something was up. She said it would be a few minutes. No big whoop. So I waited. And waited. And waited. People came and went, lots and lots of food was made and served. This is a high volume place. They know how to put food out. I'm certain they forgot my order, but nobody bothered to tell me. Every time the counter person went into the back I could hear the guy saying "He came early! He came early!" I'm born and raised in Philadelphia to an italian family. I know the best when it comes to pizza and Hoagies.

This place is the only place I found since I moved here in 1981 that can truly compete with PA hoagies and NY style pizza.

I don't eat fish but here I will eat it. It's better than fresh and tasty fish.

The salads are truly green. Dark green and romaine. Not cheap iceberg filler. The meat on the salads is tender and tasty.

The service is impeccable. The food great. The prices are very reasonable.

You must try it to be able to understand my amazement. They truly care about their customers. They supply good quality food so they continue to have great clientele. It's that easy.

Been coming here for well over 15 years and have loved it until recently. Just ordered a tuna sub with mayo only to get a tomato, lettuce and pickle sub with a little tuna on it. Didn't order any of those things, they just threw it on to save money on the meat. My girlfriend ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch sub and got the same treatment but only with the lettuce. The place has gone so far downhill it's unrecognizable and I will probably not order from here again, not to mention the "promoting small business" fee I've seen on their receipts recently.
