They have great customer service and a very clean facility but the food...... was not what I was expecting it to be for $40. The crawfish tasted okay it just needed to soak in the juice a little more, so you can receive that cajun feel that they are trying to give off. Now the crab I did not enjoy at all. Whomever the cook is cooked it according to them and not others. Didn’t like the sausage and it was down home don’t no what happened there. Just because we are from Louisiana does not mean we all like HOT SAUCE, and he put a large consumption of it in. Plus, I could have done that at home, nothing was cajun about that (hot sauce, seasoning salt, crawfish seasoning) . It was beyond plain. Another thing is their butter sauce (garlic and cajun), the dude said most people “loved it “, I am people and I hated both of them and I am a sauce fanatic. Last thing on the menu was dessert, the brownie looked so good but when I got it in my mouth, oh what an epic fail. The frosting was hard and the brownie was floury. All in all it was a waste of $18($5-brownie, $8-crab cluster, and $2.60-half a link add the taxes because I made 2 separate purchases). I feel bad for lying to the dude about coming back because in all honesty I’m not, but I do encourage them to keep their business going because you have others who love it and you can tell they care about their customers opinion. They received 1 star for service and 1 star for...
Read moreLil Animals on Line Avenue is hands-down one of the best seafood spots I’ve ever been to — and I’m not just talking about the crawfish (which were AMAZING). From the moment my friend Abby and I walked in, we were welcomed like family. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and genuinely full of love — you can tell this is a true family-owned business with heart behind it.
The service? Impeccable. We haven’t had service that thoughtful and kind in years. They made sure we were taken care of every step of the way, checking on us with smiles, good conversation, and the kind of southern hospitality that’s hard to find these days.
The crawfish, crab leg clusters, corn, potatoes and boudin were seasoned to perfection, and everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. It’s clear they know what they’re doing — and they love doing it. (Don’t forget your dessert on the way out too!)
If you’re in Shreveport, GO support Lil Animals while crawfish season is still in full swing. Bring a friend, bring your appetite, and get ready to feel right at home. ❤️
Love, Tori and Abby!!!
We will be back!!! (Literally...
Read moreDon't let the outside of the building fool you, this is really a wonderful place. It's a family-owned hole-in-the-wall that's worth trying. If you want your crawfish or shrimp less spicy you better tell them. They haven't been open very long so they're still doing some tweaking along the way. All the food is broiled and not fried. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Crawfish. It was everything that she was looking for. I had the shrimp and it was too spicy for me but I enjoyed it anyway. The potatoes were a bit small and they should look at trying to get larger spuds. Maybe some people like everything on their food spicy but they should give the customer options from the get go. Once they get all the wrinkles out of their process, this restaurant should go very far. The owners are very open to suggestions and they want to please their customers. I have a feeling we'll be going back again. I gave the restaurant 4 out of 5 stars because there is room for improvement. I feel that my next review will...
