Sam's Southern Eatery — Restaurant in Shreveport

Talk about ghetto fabulous this is it! When I walk up to the counter the cashier on he personal cell phone, ask that person to hold on so she can take my order. We ordered the fried livers and gizzards meal and the wings with fries. When the order came we had chicken strips and fried gizzards and no livers. So I did get my wings after waiting more time. Then she offered to give us the dollar difference in the price of just fried gizzards cause the combination of both was higher. Needless to say the dollar should have had tax because we paid tax for 7.99 and not 6.99. The cashier made statements like this is the hood. Well you showed it when she could not count 15.45 out of 100.00 which she shorted herself 10.00 that we gave back to her. Lesson learned. Will not be...

My experience with this place is the worst I've experienced in my life. The fish was ok but the side items they say are sides is really a portion served on a kids menu. The cole slaw was dry and disgusting and even salt and pepper didn't even make it any better. The corn taste like it was just opened from a can and poured into a pot too just heat up. The dirty rice was dirty alright like they poured food coloring on it too look brown. The hot sauce was nasty as hell, and how u mess up hot sauce. Also the tarter sauce was just throwed together, thousand island and mayo and who told them that was a sauce. Me personally this place is a just disgusting and needs too just shut down and start over...

I heard this restaurant was so good when I first got here. I was misled. First of all, I don't like Lawry's seasoning over everything I eat. Then, once my roomie & I ordered chicken. It was spoiled! And I believe they knew they sold us spoiled chicken because they didn't ask us to bring it back & they allowed us to replace it with 2 catfish plates free! Who lets you upgrade your food for free without proof that your food was spoiled? The owner of Sam's needs to let me in his kitchen and I can show him some REAL southern eating.
