Sheridan Diner — Restaurant in Sidney Township

Came to this diner with my local friends while visiting from out of state. I have celiac, and trying new places (especially in smaller towns) can be scary and you just have to hope you can trust the kitchen. When I asked about the GF bun and how the fryers were used to make sure my fries would be safe, my waitress was so sweet and explained that they take every precaution to make sure that the kitchen is safe even with my allergy. She took a few minutes talking with me about how important it is to them, and I really appreciated it. On top of that? The food was AMAZING. I got the chicken sammy and my GF bun was perfectly toasted, chicken was juicy and seasoned well, and the fries were great too! After visiting friends for more time, my boyfriend and I even picked dinner up to-go on our way back to our air bnb. 10/10 for service and food and just everything. In addition to having terrific food, Bill and his staff are amazing. This is a restaurant where you truly feel like you are a friend or family member the moment you walk through the door. Also, I have celiac and must eat gluten free or I will get very sick. Bill is very knowledgeable about this. There are plenty of options for me. Their g.f. pizza is actually good, which is kind of rare. And Bill has even expanded g.f. options after talking with me about a few items on the menu. My wife and I went there tonight (1/28) and was amazed at not just the wonderful staff but the food!! Oh my goodness….we both ordered the rib special! My wife went with the half rack and I went full steam ahead for the full rack!! Nobody can even compare not only to the portion size but to the taste as well! These were probably the best ribs I have ever had! Not dried out but full of juice and the flavor was hands down the best!! Friday night is steak night and we will be tackling that next!!
