Just the Pits..........no need to stop here.
We went to this restaurant to have lunch and were very disappointed with the overall experience. There were 3 of us and they sat us at a table for 2 and then added a 3rd chair. There was an open table that sat 4 people but they decided to seat us at the smaller table. Once our order was delivered to the table it was like we no longer existed. The waitress didn't come by to see if everything came out the way that it should nor did she come by to see if anyone need refills.
The second issue was that I did not like the burger that I ordered as it had some type of sauce or seasoning that wasn't listed on the menu and I didn't care for the way it made the burger taste. Since the waitress never came by to ask how things were going, my wife decided to go and let the waitress or an employee know that we were not happy with the burger. She took the burger with her and when she got close to the counter the waitress and another employee stated that "it's the pickles" and walked away. I had only taken two bite out of the burger. it wasn't like to was 3/4 of the way gone. Clearly others have also tried to send back or address the issue with the same burger that I ordered, as it seems the staff immediately knew the issue was the pickles. Calling this a gourmet burger restaurant is a stretch. If you are going to place the condiments off to the side of the burger and say your burger is "gourmet", you should work harder on your presentation. The condiments were not placed in a manner that showed that there was any thought that went into their placement on the plate. Also, since this was a "gourmet" burger Romain lettuce should have been used not shredded lettuce. Then, to add insult to injury the waitress came up and stated that since I didn't care for the sauce or seasoning used on the fried pickles they took $2.00 off our bill. I didn't expect them to comp the burger but it would have been nice if they had asked if I would like to try a different burger to go or if they had come over and made any attempt to correct the issue.
It's not entirely the waitress's fault as there doesn't seem to be any management present to ensure things are going as they should or checking to make sure the customers in the restaurant are having a good time. Maybe if we were friends of the staff or friends of the owner we would have received better treatment, the table behind us definitely did. Their waitress came by multiple times to see how they were doing and seemed to know them on a...
Read moreMy family and I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. We were seated quickly, and our server was pleasant. It was my first time, so I needed a little extra time to look over the menu. There are many unique burger choices, steak, chicken, and sides. The kids' menu has 3 choices: chicken strips, hamburgers, or cheeseburgers with a side. This visit they were out of the apple coleslaw, which was a little unfortunate because I would like to have tried it. My son decided on the chicken, and I was happily impressed that it was REAL chicken breast and not some compressed garbage that some "nuggets" are made of. My son chose the mac and cheese for side at the servers' suggestion. I tasted it, and it was a good consistency and texture. However, it was a little on the bland side. I added some of the bacon from my burger into the mac n cheese, and that added the saltiness it was lacking, plus... bacon and mac n cheese are good friends. I chose the Ono burger, and my husband got the Bacon Beast, we both ordered the battered fries as a side which were hot and yummy. The burgers come with shredded iceburg lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and dill pickels on the side (none of which ended up on our burgers). I ordered a side salad ala cart, but I don't really recommend it, and I will skip it in the future. The veg on the side of the burger constitutes about what the salad consisted of. The teriyaki aoli on the Ono burger was by far the highlight of my plate! It was absolutely delicious. The chuck itself was fairly tasty, and it was obvious that everything was made fresh to order. The ranch dressing was homemade and very yummy, as was the Chipotle sauce. My son wanted chocolate milk, which is not on the menu. However, a young lady was kind enough to go out of her way to find and make some for him in the kitchen! I found that to be very sweet and generous of her! The only complaint I have is that the service took a pretty long time (about 45-50 minutes), but I think that was due to them having a couple of very large parties being served. My husband says he's gone at lunch before, and it's not typical for them to take that long. Overall, this was a good experience and...
Read moreSo tonight Jan 3 2024 5pmish we walked in and it was not busy our togo order placed over the phone was ready and on the counter when we walked in we were greeted by 3 young ladies with smiles. We decided to get a Chicken (grilled) Dinner Salad afterall and was okay to wait for it to be made. When it was ready I thanked the young lady and headed to car the smell from the chicken cantainer smelled of BEEF I opened it and it was grilled chicken strips but overcome with the smell of (BEEF) Now assuming because I do not know how they prepare BEEF and there GRILLED CHICKEN I believe its on the same grilltop / cooktop and two things my opinion that's contaminating both meats and second I have AGS it is a serious allergic condition so beef is no no for me. I have to take extra precautions when I do order out from amywhere and even when I grocery shop that I do not come in contact with red meats. ( This is why I rarely eat out because of my condition) but I assumed there cooking of meats were completely separate. To make sure once we were home and it wasn't my nose being funny with smells those who don't have my condition all said yes the chicken smelled and tasted of beef. So It sadden me because Iv'e heard nothing but GREAT THINGS about this restaurant and our family for the first time decided to try it tonight. I give the parking lot n customer service and inside restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. But the Grilled Chicken Dinner Salad ⭐ I had to give it to a family member to eat. Our togo order was over $100.00 when placing the burger orders 7 we were asked how do we want each cooked 2 of the burgers were pink inside picture here shows clearly pink inside when they were suppose to be WELL DONE. The good side is with the burgers youdo get a side and drink. Here are the pictures to show what they look like thats not well done :( . The grilled chicken was in some type of grease or something. Wished the food could have been 5⭐ but...
