I rarely, if ever, volunteer a critique of a restaurant, and then only if I was superbly delighted in the dining experience. But I feel that a warning should be posted to warn local, but never dined there, and visitors to Sikeston. The waitress took my drink order and just left to do other stuff. Apparently, she assumed I was there for the buffet and would go up and help myself. Not being familiar with the establishment I sat in my seat drinking the soda I ordered and waited for her to see if I wanted a menu or the buffet. I got tired of waiting after 10 minutes and approached her to see what the procedure was. She told me to help myself to the buffet. I did. I chose spaghetti and a slice each of 2 of the only pizza varieties on the buffet. I would have assumed that there would be quite a bit to offer since it was only 11:15am, way before the normal lunch crowd would arrive. I took a bite of the spaghetti and I can truthfully say my 8-year old grandson can make a better tasing batch. One of the pizza slices was so salty I couldn’t get past the first bite. Not good for anyone with blood pressure problems. Their idea of a salad selection was at best a pitiful joke; just lettuce and a couple of salad toppings. There was a prepared tray of a salad that didn’t look very appetizing. Lucky for them (and I do wish them well) there were several of what had to be regulars who seemed to be enjoying themselves; otherwise, I don’t see how they can remain...
Read moreI've never heard of Pizza Inn before today. Was traveling through Sikeston, MO on our way home from a family vacation. Thought we'd give this regional chain a try.
Ordered online, for delivery to hotel, the service and food were horrible. We got a very strong IDGAF attitude from driver. We ordered ranch as the dipping sauce for our boneless wings, and even paid extra for 2 more...the driver didn't grab any ranch so we got none. Also no plates or napkins were provided. Come on, we are at a hotel, Y'all didn't think we might need something to eat with? Any self respecting delivery driver should just have those sort of things in their delivery vehicle.
Pepperoni rolls were not at all like the ones pictured in the online menu. The pictured ones were golden brown with a garlic butter parmasean/herbs clearly visible on crust, the ones we recieved where just plain dough.
The Pepperoni stuffed crust pizza, was sooo greasy my 9 year old wouldn't eat it. That pretty much says it all. Pizza a kid won't eat. We also got a pan style spicy asian chicken pizza, it sounded intriguing, but turned out to be gross and the crust just didn't seem like it was cooked all the way. I guess pan style to me implied a crispy Pizza Hut style crust, which this wasn't at all.
I'm not sure about much in life, but I know for certain I will never get food from another Pizza Inn as...
Read moreOk, I know what you are going to say: "You were in Sikeston, MO and you DIDN'T eat at Lambert's???" Yep, that's right, I didn't. Nothing against Lambert's, but my family and I just didn't want to wait over an hour on a Saturday night to eat, so we drove down the street to Pizza Inn. We were not disappointed. Walk in the door and a very friendly girl at the counter greeted us and invited us to sit anywhere. Before we could get there, another very nice lady asked us what we wanted for drinks and was there any special kind of pizza she could get put out on the buffet for us. Any kind was welcome. Seated, drinks poured and off to the buffet. I have to admit, it was a little sparse to start. We grabbed a few random slices to start, but it was only a few moment before piping hot, tasty thin crust pizza was out. Pizza tasted very good. Salad was good. Our waitress was very attentive to our drink needs. Overall, a great, filling time at the Pizza Inn. Bring the family,...
