Me-Moms Country Store & Restaurant in Kirbyville, Texas, is a delightful throwback that warms the heart and fills the belly. We were greeted with genuine cheer by Lori, the owner’s daughter, whose welcoming smile set the tone for our visit. Before sitting down, we asked to explore, and she happily obliged. Stepping inside felt like a time warp to the 1970s and 80s—back when East Texas was dotted with roadside diners and hybrid store-restaurants. The nostalgic decor, complete with vintage vibes, stirred fond memories of lake trips from years past. It’s a rare find in an era where these gems have mostly faded away.

We ordered the four-egg special, pairing it with sausage and biscuits, and it was more than enough for two. The eggs were cooked exactly as requested—spot-on—while the biscuits stole the show with their light, fluffy perfection. The sausage added a savory kick, rounding out a hearty breakfast that left us satisfied but not stuffed. The portions are generous, the prices fair, and the quality shines through in every bite.

The atmosphere buzzes with small-town charm, and we couldn’t help but overhear talk of Saturday night karaoke—a lively draw we’re already planning to return for. Me-Moms isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience that blends comfort food with a sense of history. For anyone passing through Kirbyville or craving a taste of East Texas nostalgia, this spot is a must. We’ll be back soon, microphones in hand, ready for a...

Hey there! 😊

Just wanted to share a little story from my day. So, I was out working and decided to make a quick stop to buy a lottery ticket. Unfortunately, they didn't have any at that location, but no worries! Something even better happened instead.

As I stepped inside, the mouthwatering smell of the food filled the air and I couldn't help but comment on it. One of the lovely ladies working there then told me and my colleague about a special chicken fried steak they had for today. Oh boy, did that sound tempting! So, without hesitation, we both eagerly ordered one and decided to enjoy it right there in the parking lot.

Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't stop raving about it to my colleague. The flavors, the tenderness, everything about it was just perfect. I was so impressed that I went back inside just to let them know how amazing their food was. It truly felt like home cooking straight from the heart.

I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for serving such incredible food. It's not every day you stumble upon such a hidden gem. This definitely won't be the last time I come by. Can't wait to come back and try out other options from your menu.

Once again, thank you so much for the fantastic food and the wonderful experience! 🙌

My husband and I both decided on burgers. He got the Duke (double patty) with bacon and pepper jack cheese while I the Gene Autry (Patty melt) sub American cheese, and both got fries , ex crispy. We paid about 27 for it. Cons.. Fries aren't really crispy, but good regardless. My burger had mayo on it (not in menu description) but I just wiped it off, no biggie. But my problem was the meat is served medium, and no where is that stated on the menu at all! So my burger had bright pink meat. That's disgusting and I lost my appetite immediately.. the lady did offer to remake it when i asked about it, but I had lost my appetite already soni said no thank you. (My hubby is fine with medium burgers). When we went to pay, I was still charged for my meal even though I didn't eat it, well I ate the fries, and have no issues paying for that. We just paid and left. This won't be a place I return to. Hubby said his burger was fine and that's why the food has 2 stars. Lady working was friendly, but really should have at least offered to remove the meal. And we were the only people in eating at the time as well.

Update to respond to the comment below. I check my receipt and my bank statement, I was charged 35 total (yeah we...

Me and my mother stopped in here on the way back from Port Arthur Texas to get something to eat and we seen it was a nice atmosphere and it had good home cooking so we thought that we would get us some other beans and cornbread . It cost $18 for two orders of beans and two pieces of cornbread and 2 cups of ice, then we thought that was expensive but we thought it would be worth it. So we got to the car to eat and we had cornbread that was tore to pieces and the beans had no flavor! So I was already disappointed but not enough to post a review. Then my mother finds a fly in her beans! Not only this, but the lady was rude from the start. I’m a really nice and polite person and so is my mother so we didn’t understand that. I know she was busy but come on have some good customer service if you are going to work in a restaurant or any place of business That is dealing with the public. We will not be going back ever again, which is very disappointing because we thought that it was a nice looking place and we’d love the food would be great.
