Betos Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Simi Valley

This is the second time in 10 years going here and I now get why it's been that long. Went out for a romantic date night during the week and found the place with only one family in the place and we're greeted by the waitress.She let us know that they were about to close down due to a lack of business but assured us they could accommodate us. We both ordered seafood and the food arrived fairly quickly and my wife and I proceed to eat and after a few bites we realized that the plates were wrong. The server never asked which one goes where and by the time the waitress came over ( that other family was her own and that's where her attention was) we explained to her that something was wrong and she than realized that the plates were switched and offered to replace my wifes dish which due to the time meant only a partial replacement. No charge which due to no fault of ours would be expected. But the glass refilling and the other checks were never made and the service unfortunately was not what I would expect. She felt bad enough about the experience that she comped the salad which was appreciated but we would never go back none the less. Celebrated my moms and my sister's birthday together here at the same time and it was a lot of fun we felt bad because we took forever to order but the waitress was wonderful about it we hadn't seen each other in almost two years so we were sitting there talking talking and the waitress was extremely patient and nice with us. The food was great we had ordered three entrees and a chopped salad and a bottle of prosecco and we basically ate it all family style. Honestly between the three of us we could have done just fine with the two entrees instead of three we were totally stuffed and had a lot to take home by the end of the meal. Food quality and presentation was great would definitely go here again. I was a little bit on the pricey side but you pay for what you get which is great. Definitely happy that we ended up going here none of us had heard about it before it's kind of a little hole in the wall and I'm sure definitely a bit underrated I would definitely recommend this to anybody who...

I want to thank Beto’s Bistro for Cater my Event. My Birthday Party was so special, you and your crew did an amazing job from beginning to end, everything was perfect!. Unfortunately I don’t have all pictures of the buffer to show, but I will began to mention few of things why my event was a success. 1- Beto’s crew arrived on time 2- Beto’s crew dressed professionally 3- Everything was clean and organized 4- At all time keep me informed of any little changes. 5- The fish was so tender, juicy and quality! 6- All food on the buffet was hot and cooked to perfection, specifically the sauces. 7- Presentation was absolutely amazing 8- All guest were coming to say how delicious food was.
